That makes Diaz’s next release, Ply, one of the season’s most anticipated books for both the couple and fans hoping to recreate a little of that bookish magic. Arriving September 29, the dystopian novel centers on an orphan forced to steal electricity in order to survive.
Diaz is not the only Pulitzer Prize winner returning with a new must-read. After the sweeping success of Demon Copperhead, Barbara Kingsolver is set to release Partita on October 6. The novel offers a quieter but deeply affecting dual narrative about a once-driven pianist whose career is cut short, and the long process of rebuilding both her life and her relationship with music.
