Beyoncé’s fans are buzzing with excitement over her transformative Cowboy Carter phase, eagerly anticipating what the music icon has in store next. Having launched a multi-act musical journey with her 2022 album Renaissance, Beyoncé’s venture into country music for Act II marked a refreshing shift from her usual style. While followers know Act III is on the horizon, the timeline remains a mystery. However, some believe the superstar may have dropped a hint on social media about the next chapter.
Is Beyoncé gearing up for Act III? Fans think she left a clue on Instagram
The Renaissance era unfolded as a meticulously crafted, multi-act narrative that reshaped Beyoncé’s artistic trajectory and cultural influence. It kicked off with Act I: Renaissance, followed by Act II: Cowboy Carter. Released in 2022, Renaissance paid homage to Black and LGBTQ+ dance music traditions, weaving in elements of house, disco, and club music. In 2024, Beyoncé ventured into Cowboy Carter, a genre-blending album embracing country, Americana, and roots music, which challenged industry norms and reclaimed spaces traditionally dominated by non-Black artists.
As fans eagerly anticipate Act III, the excitement is palpable. This next installment promises to introduce a genre that Beyoncé has yet to explore, sparking speculation that its release could be imminent.
In December 2025, a keen-eyed fan on Reddit noted that Beyoncé had removed the Cowboy Carter link from her Instagram bio, fueling theories about the impending arrival of Act III.
“Oh my god I can’t even comprehend it—we’re going into Act III,” another user enthusiastically commented, echoing the fanbase’s anticipation.

Another fan asked whether Beyoncé removed the link to Renaissance before announcing Cowboy Carter, and a separate fan confirmed yes.
“For context, she did this on February 5th, 2024, and then announced Act 2 the following week at the Super Bowl on February 11th,” the fan wrote.
“We are slowly going into Act III era,” another fan commented.
Beyoncé previously confirmed that ‘Renaissance’ and ‘Cowboy Carter’ were part of a three-act project
Beyoncé hasn’t given fans an album title, release date, or single for Act III just yet. However, she did previously confirm that Renaissance and Cowboy Carter were part of a three-act project that she recorded during the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
“This three-act project was recorded over three years during the pandemic,” Beyoncé wrote in an accompanying booklet with the Renaissance vinyl, according to NME. “A time to be still, but also a time I found to be the most creative.”
“Creating this album allowed me a place to dream and to find escape during a scary time for the world,” Beyoncé continued in her note. “It allowed me to feel free and adventurous in a time when little else was moving. My intention was to create a safe place, a place without judgment. A place to be free of perfectionism and overthinking. A place to scream, release, feel freedom. It was a beautiful journey of exploration.”
Will she release a rock album next?
Fans keeping up with Beyoncé’s public image believe she’s given clues to suggest that Act III might be a rock album. According to Capital UK, fans noticed that the performer’s Levi’s advertisement began with Beyoncé riding on a horse and ended with her riding on a motorcycle — a potential clear sign that rock music is to come. Additionally, they noticed how she was posing with the “sign of the horn” rock symbol in photos.
A fan on Reddit theorized that the singer would drop Act III toward the end of 2025 or the beginning of 2026.
“It’ll come in 2026,” another fan guessed. “One year is the album, the next the tour … and so forth.”
Fans will have to wait and see when Beyoncé decides to release her final act in her trilogy.
