Beyoncé’s children are capturing attention once again following the triumphant success of her “Cowboy Carter” tour. Blue Ivy Carter, the eldest daughter of Beyoncé and Jay-Z, has already gained a fan following, but it’s her younger sister, Rumi Carter, who recently charmed audiences by making an appearance on stage, waving enthusiastically. Rumi has also been in the limelight thanks to her involvement in her mother’s haircare brand, Cécred. Here’s the scoop.

Beyoncé tested her Cécred haircare products on her daughters, Blue Ivy and Rumi Carter

Audiences are delighted to see Beyoncé’s children bask in the public eye. In March 2026, Beyoncé shared insights with Women’s Wear Daily about her haircare line, Cécred, confirming that her daughters, Rumi, age 8, and Blue Ivy, age 14, have been the testers for these products.

“Every product has been rigorously tried and tested, and I apply them on my daughters for various styles: blow dry, silk press, braid-out,” Beyoncé revealed to the magazine. “We even tested the mousse back in 2024 for my big Texas blowout during the Super Bowl.”

The creation of Cécred was a years-long journey, blending scientific precision with personal history, inspired by Beyoncé’s early days in her mother’s salon. The brand introduced its “Foundation Collection,” a suite of eight products designed to cleanse, condition, and rejuvenate hair across different textures. Infused with nourishing ingredients such as butters, oils, honey, and fermented rice water, these products enhance hair strength and hydration. What distinguishes Cécred is its unique combination of time-honored hair care techniques and cutting-edge technology, featuring a special bioactive keratin ferment that replicates natural hair proteins to repair styling and heat damage.

“These products were born out of a personal need to tackle my own hair challenges while on tour,” Beyoncé explained. “I avoid using relaxers, so safeguarding my hair from heat damage during styling is crucial. Touring brings unpredictable weather—torrential rain, extreme humidity, and even scorching 100-degree shows. I’m drenched in sweat, and my hairstyles need to endure a three-hour performance. I couldn’t find styling products that met the demands without compromising my hair’s health.”

“A lot of these products were designed from a desire to solve my own issues with my hair while on tour,” the star explained. “I don’t use relaxers, so I’m very big on protecting the hair from heat damage when I style. Tour weather is unpredictable. Pouring rain, crazy humidity, some shows in 100-degree weather. I’m drenched in sweat, and those styles must make it through a three-hour show. I wasn’t finding stylers that could perform at the necessary level without affecting my hair health.”

Beyoncé wants her kids to maintain their privacy

At 14 years old, Blue Ivy Carter is coming into her own. And fans know the teen for her incredible dance moves on the “Cowboy Carter” tour. While Blue is in the limelight, Beyoncé previously told GQ that she wants her kids to have “normalcy” and “privacy.” The celebrity wants her twins, Rumi and Sir, to retain a normal childhood.

“One thing I’ve worked extremely hard on is making sure my kids can have as much normalcy and privacy as possible, ensuring my personal life isn’t turned into a brand,” she said. “It’s very easy for celebrities to turn our lives into performance art. I have made an extreme effort to stay true to my boundaries and protect myself and my family. No amount of money is worth my peace.”

That said, Rumi seems to be following in her mother and sister’s footsteps. She joined the stage for the song “Protector.” Fans adored the way that Rumi was waving to the crowd and hugging her famous mom.

Tina Knowles said Rumi Carter wanted to ‘experience’ the stage

In a 2025 interview with ELLE U.K., Beyoncé’s mom, Tina Knowles, said Rumi Carter was eager to get out on stage with her mother.

“You know, their mother keeps their lives normal,” Knowles shared. “And they are just normal kids. They love the stage — they’ve grown up around it. And, you know, Rumi, for the last tour, just every day, said, ‘I want to go out there. I want to.’ She wanted to experience it, too. And so Beyoncé is allowing her to do it this time. And I’m really happy about it, because she has fun out there. She gets to be a kid, and when she gets off stage, she’s right back to being Rumi, the little kid, you know, the little 7-year-old, adorable.”

With this in mind, we can’t wait to see what’s next for Beyoncé’s three kids.
