“Taylor Swift’s response to Travis’s performance shows us a side of the musical star we haven’t seen before,” Honigman said. “She uses possessive, aggressive body language as she marks her territory and ensures that everyone knows that this man is hers.”
Although Swift was visibly happy, Honigman read her expression as more forceful than simply joyful. The expert also noted that Swift repeatedly gestured toward her ring while celebrating her husband’s big play.
“When Taylor celebrates Travis’s achievement, her teeth are exposed,” Honigman explained. “In the animal kingdom, exposed teeth can signal a willingness to attack or serve as a warning, and that expression is similarly associated with aggression in human behavior. Her intense smile, combined with the gesture toward her wedding band, suggests a newly possessive streak.”
Honigman also said Swift appeared completely comfortable commanding attention and occupying space throughout the game.
“When glancing down at Kelce from her box, Taylor stands strong, her hands pushing squarely into her waist in a ‘Superman’ pose,” she said. “The stance communicates that she is not afraid to take up space and reminds everyone nearby that this lady is not to be messed with.
