Bria Murphy and her husband, Michael Xavier, marked a joyous occasion on Saturday as they hosted a baby shower in anticipation of their son, John.

Nicole Mitchell-Murphy, Bria’s mother, shared a touching video montage from the family event, which took place at Eddie Murphy’s expansive estate.

Accompanying the video, Nicole penned a heartfelt note to her future grandson. “We are celebrating Bria and the wonderful blessing she is soon to bring into the world. Baby John, we are eagerly awaiting your arrival. #Babyshower #love #babyboy #celebration #family #friends.”

Earlier this month, Bria debuted her baby bump while attending the premiere of her father, Eddie Murphy’s latest documentary, Being Eddie.

This documentary focuses on Murphy’s enduring commitment to his family, highlighting that his ten children are the heart and soul of his life.

He shares Eric with Paulette McNeely; Christian with Tamara Hood; Bria, Shayne, Zola, Bella and Myles with Nicole Mitchell; and Angel with Melanie Brown. He also shares Izzy and Max with his partner Paige Butcher.

He is also a grandfather to Myles and Carly Fink’s daughters, Evie and Zuri.

In a recent interview with murphy, he reflected on having a large family, saying, “It just happened,” he said. “I never knew I would have 10 kids, but now it’s the best thing ever. If you can afford that many kids, you should have as many kids as you can afford. That is fun.” He added, “My children are all decent people. I don’t have one rotten one, and I would like to think that they got some of that from me.”

Bria and Michael’s baby news arrives three years after the couple exchanged vows during an intimate ceremony in Beverly Hills.
