The most talked-about weekend on Bravo’s calendar has arrived, and Brittany Cartwright didn’t mince words when discussing her now nonexistent ties with former employer Lisa Vanderpump in an interview with Decider.
Cartwright joined Vanderpump’s restaurant, SUR, as a waitress during Season 5 of Vanderpump Rules and continued to appear on the show until Season 8. She and her then-husband, Jax Taylor, announced their exit shortly thereafter.
Even as Vanderpump Rules moved forward without them for three seasons, Bravo recently revealed that Season 12 will introduce a brand-new lineup. With Vanderpump organizing an exclusive preview of the upcoming season at BravoCon this weekend, Cartwright explained why she’s unlikely to join the panel.
“I genuinely wish them all the success, but Lisa hasn’t reached out to me at all,” she revealed to Decider earlier today. “She hasn’t acknowledged my divorce, my son’s autism diagnosis, or anything else. It’s been radio silence from her side.”
Cartwright, who is now a part of the Vanderpump Rules spinoff, The Valley, filed for divorce from Taylor in 2024 and announced earlier this year that their son Cruz, age 4, was diagnosed with autism. Cartwright mentioned that Vanderpump remained silent during both of these significant milestones in her life.
“I have no bad feelings. She likes who is bringing her money at the time. And that’s not currently me,” Cartwright said. “I don’t know, I just figured whenever me and Jax got divorced, I would at least hear something from her, so that’s kind of upsetting.”
Still, Cartwright shared that she’s “always looked up” to the restauranteur.
“I’ve always looked up to her, thought she was an amazing person, loved everything we did, and really worked with her and her charity, and really tried to help,” she said. “But I haven’t heard anything from her in four years. Cruz is four years old. She’s never once [reached out].”
