Brooklyn Beckham recently left fans stunned as he broke his silence regarding the tensions between him and his parents, David and Victoria Beckham. Although whispers of a family discord have circulated for years, Brooklyn chose to unveil the reasons behind the strife on his social media platforms.
The eldest Beckham took to Instagram Stories to share a heartfelt message, revealing, “I have kept quiet for years, striving to maintain our private matters. Unfortunately, my parents, alongside their team, have consistently approached the media, forcing me to clarify some of the falsehoods being spread.”
He further explained, “I have no desire to mend fences with my family. This isn’t about manipulation; it’s about finally standing up for myself. Throughout my life, my parents have shaped media narratives about our family. The orchestrated social media posts, family gatherings, and insincere relationships have been constants in my life. Recently, I’ve witnessed firsthand the extent they will go to spread misinformation, often at the cost of innocent individuals, all to uphold their public image. However, I trust that the truth will eventually prevail.”
“My parents have been trying endlessly to ruin my relationship since before my wedding, and it hasn’t stopped … My wife and I do not want a life shaped by image, press, or manipulation. All we want peace privacy, and happiness for us and our future family.”
Days after Brooklyn’s post, he and his wife, Nicola Peltz, were seen out strolling on a beach together walking arm in arm.
Sources close to the couple shared that they have no regrets about speaking out and are “glad” they did, telling The Sun, “They couldn’t be happier with how things have panned out. They told us, ‘We’re glad we did it.’ They feel like a massive weight has been lifted off them and they’re pleased with the support they’ve received.”
The insiders added, “It’s been therapeutic to finally get things off their chests which they’ve been bottling up for years. This has just made things even clearer to him — he wants nothing more to do with his parents.”
While the family feud began back in 2022 around the time Brooklyn and Peltz tied the knot, it really caught the public’s attention when the pair did not attend David’s 50th birthday party in May 2025.
Brooklyn addressed that as well in his statement, writing, “For my dad’s birthday were rejected for a week as we waited in our hotel room trying to plan quality time with him. He refused all of our attempts, unless it was at his big birthday party with a hundred guests and cameras at every corner. When he finally agreed to see me, it was under the condition that Nicola wasn’t invited. It was a slap in the face.”
Victoria and David have not responded to Brooklyn’s claims but the former soccer star did appear on CNBC’s Squawk Box just hours after his eldest son’s post and said, “I’ve always spoke about social media and the power of social media, for the good and for the bad … But what I’ve found personally, you know, especially with my kids as well, use it for the right reasons.”
