'It wasn't sleazy!': Brooklyn Beckham's wedding guest defends Victoria

In a twist to the ongoing saga surrounding Brooklyn Beckham’s 2022 wedding to Nicola Peltz in Florida, a wedding attendee has come forward to defend Victoria Beckham against her son’s recent allegations. The drama unfolded after Brooklyn, the eldest child of David and Victoria Beckham, leveled accusations at his mother, claiming she behaved inappropriately during what was supposed to be his first dance with his new bride.

Brooklyn, now 26, shared his grievances through a detailed six-page statement. He recounted an incident where singer Marc Anthony, who was performing at the event, called him to the stage. According to Brooklyn, the plan was to share a romantic dance with Nicola, now 31. However, he alleged that Victoria seized the moment for herself, leaving him feeling “uncomfortable” and “humiliated” as she danced with him in front of the 500 wedding guests.

Brooklyn expressed his discomfort, stating, “I’ve never felt more uncomfortable or humiliated in my entire life. We wanted to renew our vows so we could create new memories of our wedding day that bring us joy and happiness, not anxiety and embarrassment.”

In contrast, a guest from the wedding has come forward to paint a different picture of the event. According to this attendee, Victoria’s dance was far from inappropriate. Instead, the guest suggested that Nicola was upset because her mother-in-law seemed to overshadow her during Marc Anthony’s performance, as he lavished praise on the former Spice Girl.

But now one guest who attended the wedding has claimed Victoria’s dancing was anything but sleazy and believes the bride Nicola, was furious her mother-in-law ‘stole her limelight’ after Marc Anthony heaped praise on the Spice Girl throughout his set.

‘She was a bit wooden but not sleazy. It was inappropriate but only in the sense that she appeared to be the centre of attention when it should have been about the bride instead,’ the wedding guest told The Mirror.

‘Our takeaway was that there was no grinding. But it was a bit of a stiff, awkward performance.

‘It did rather feel like the Beckham show. Marc Anthony had been praising Victoria in between songs, and then you had her go up on the dance floor for this moment. It was a bit much, and Nicola didn’t appear happy.’

Daily Mail has contacted Victoria, Brooklyn and Nicola’s representatives for comment.

Meanwhile, DJ Fat Tony, who performed a late night set joined in the posts poking fun at the groom’s claim that his mum ‘hijacked my first dance with my wife’ and ‘danced very inappropriately on me in front of everyone’.

Tony shared a video of Lucy Punch’s character Amanda in BBC sitcom Motherland dancing wildly to the Lil’ Kleine and Ronnie Flex track Drank & Drugs in front of her school mum friends.

The clip was captioned ‘POV: Victoria Beckham during Brooklyn’s first dance’ and Fat Tony added the words: ‘Actual video footage it’s true I was there !’

Tony’s partner Stavros Agapiou on Tuesday backed up Brooklyn’s ‘inappropriate’ dancing comment.

Page Six reported the actress was so upset she left the reception crying after Victoria ‘wrapped her arms around Brooklyn and nuzzled into his neck’.

A source said: ‘She [Victoria] was dancing with him very inappropriately. She took that moment from Nicola, that is the god’s truth.

‘Nicola ran out crying. The Beckhams’ side of the room was cheering and the Peltz side was quiet.

‘Nicola’s friends were saying “You have to go back down”. Her face was swollen. She finally came down and was sad the entire evening, it was so heartbreaking.’

Another source claimed Brooklyn spent the weekend ‘agonising’ over what to say in the six-page statement, after telling his wife ‘f*** it, this ends now’.

The insider told The Mirror: ‘He thought the abuse towards his wife would never stop until he said something in his own words. He was sick of the lies, and there was no changing his mind….and nor did anyone want to. He was fixated on ending the b******t which he claims his mum and dad are behind.’

Fans are clamouring to see the footage at the centre of the Beckham family rift.

But sources say the video will likely never surface because Brooklyn himself holds the only recording of the controversial moment.

The couple famously enforced an ultra-strict no-phones policy at their lavish Florida nuptials, attended by 500 guests.

All attendees were required to surrender their personal devices upon arrival, sealing them inside electronically locked pouches before being handed retro flip phones for basic photographs.

As a result, Brooklyn and Nicola retain exclusive control over all official footage from the day, meaning the alleged ’embarrassing’ dance exists only in material owned by the couple themselves.

A source revealed: ‘Brooklyn holds all the power when it comes to the video of Victoria dancing “inappropriately” on him at his wedding to Nicola.

‘You can completely understand why Brooklyn would never have wanted the footage made public. Until now, he has stayed silent, but he is finally speaking out about his experiences with his family and, in particular, how deeply let down he felt by his mother on his wedding day.

‘Thousands of people are now speculating about just how inappropriate Victoria’s performance really was, and releasing the footage could be the ultimate proof that everything Brooklyn has alleged is completely accurate.

‘The only person who can lawfully release that footage is Brooklyn himself. And while he’s clearly been pushed to breaking point, he may still feel it’s not something he wants to relive, especially on such a hugely public scale.’
