Bryce James, the younger son of NBA legend LeBron James, has officially committed to the University of Arizona. The four-star recruit made his announcement on Instagram, posting a photo of himself in an Arizona jersey with the caption, “100% committed.”

LeBron, ever the proud dad, celebrated the milestone with a post on Instagram, writing, “DOWN!!!!!!!!! CONGRATULATIONS MAXIMUS!! SO PROUD OF YOU!!! #JamesGang.”

Savannah James, Bryce’s mother, also expressed her pride in her son’s accomplishments. She posted a message on social media, saying, “So proud of you @_justbryce!! Your silent hustle has definitely not gone unnoticed!! I’m so excited for you and I can’t wait to cheer you on through this journey!Down!”

Bryce, a standout player at Sierra Canyon High School in California, had several offers from top-tier programs, including Ohio State and Duquesne. His recruitment journey began when Duquesne made the first move in the summer of 2022. After unofficial visits to Ohio State and Arizona, he ultimately chose the Wildcats.

This past spring, Bryce showcased his skills with the Strive For Greatness grassroots program on the Nike EYBL circuit, where he averaged 6.9 points and 2.2 rebounds per game. His impressive shooting, particularly from beyond the arc (36.8%), helped him stand out, with a high of 21 points and six rebounds against NightRydas Elite.

Bryce also competed in the prestigious Nike Peach Jam, further solidifying his status as one of the top young talents in the country.

Additionally, Bryce earned an invitation to the USA Basketball Under-17 national team training camp last June, further showcasing his talent on a national stage.

Bryce’s older brother, Bronny James, played one season at USC before turning pro, though his freshman year was marred by a health scare when he suffered cardiac arrest during a team workout. Bronny was drafted by the Los Angeles Lakers in the second round of the 2024 NBA Draft.

Arizona’s 2025 recruiting class is shaping up to be a powerhouse, with Bryce joining top-25 prospect Dwayne Aristode, who committed to the Wildcats in October.
