  • Burna Boy, an afrobeat singer, has been seen enjoying his recently imported McLaren in Nigeria.
  • The music star purchased a car for N3.22 billion, and his security guard posed with it, even slamming his boss’ colleague, David Adeleke, aka Davido.

Afrobeat star Ebunoluwa Damini, popularly known as Burna Boy, is once again making headlines this time for cruising through Lagos in his newly acquired McLaren, reportedly worth ₦3.22 billion.

A viral video captured the singer behind the wheel of the luxury ride as he navigated Lagos roads heavily affected by flooding. While fans were excited to catch a glimpse of the superstar and his flashy vehicle, many expressed concern over the poor road conditions.

Interestingly, Burna Boy’s security guard was seen proudly posing with the exotic car and even took a light jab at Davido, one of Burna’s industry rivals, further fueling online chatter.

Despite the excitement, several fans advised the singer to relocate the McLaren to the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, where road conditions are relatively better. They feared that Lagos roads could damage the aesthetics or value of such a high-end vehicle.

The incident drew comparisons to a similar move by Burna Boy’s close friend and fellow artist, Wizkid, who also purchased a McLaren worth billions in 2024 and proudly flaunted its interior on social media.

The video has since sparked numerous reactions across social media, highlighting not only Burna Boy’s lavish lifestyle but also the persistent issue of poor infrastructure in Lagos.
