This weekend marks a momentous occasion as Colombian pop sensation Karol G takes the spotlight at Coachella, becoming the festival’s first Latina headliner in its 27-year history.
The artist behind “Verano Rosa” is set to enchant the audience on Sunday, April 12, with a performance on the Coachella Stage that promises to feature some of her biggest hits. In a candid conversation with Rolling Stone, Karol G expressed the immense pressure she feels to excel. “I aim to reach a level where people leave saying, ‘Karol was prepared. She exceeded expectations,’” she revealed. “It’s now up to me and my dedication to deliver an unforgettable show.”
This performance serves as a grand finale to her “Tropicoqueta” era, a project enriched with influences from various Latin music styles. Rolling Stone hinted at the possibility of surprise guest appearances by her famous collaborators such as Kali Uchis, J Balvin, or Bad Bunny. As the first Latina to headline, Karol G acknowledged the challenge of meeting the high expectations set by this historic achievement.

Karol G will be performing at Coachella Sunday, April 12 at 9:55 p.m. PDT. Her set is expected to end around 11:55 p.m.
Fans who couldn’t make it to the sold-out festival can tune in from home via the Coachella livestream. Coachella will be live streaming every performance from every single stage this weekend on the Coachella YouTube page and the Coachella app. Some of the performances will be available in 4K.
