Carmelo Anthony and La La Anthony are  celebrating a major milestone— their son Kiyan Anthony’s 18th birthday.

Earlier today, proud mom La La took to Instagram earlier today to express her overwhelming emotions, sharing a tribute about her son’s journey into adulthood.

“Happy 18th birthday to my son @kiyananthony. I can’t even believe I just said 18!!!! That is craaazzyyyy how fast time goes by. I officially have an 18-year-old. Kiyan, you are my biggest blessing and my greatest inspiration. GOD knew we needed each other. I’m so proud of the young man you are becoming. Continue to shine in all that you do!”

She continued, “I’m always here for you no matter how old you get!! Forever your #1 fan! You have always given me purpose. I love you more than words could ever explain!!! Today we celebrate you! You know we about to go craaazzzyyyy today!!! I love you forever and even after that!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY KIYAN!!!”

Kiyan, who is quickly making a name for himself in the basketball world, is following in the footsteps of his father, NBA legend Carmelo Anthony. Recently committing to Syracuse University, the young star has been turning heads with his impressive performances on the court.

La La couldn’t be prouder and made sure to shine a spotlight on her son’s recent accomplishments in her Instagram Stories, celebrating his hard work and talent.

“Proud mom always!!! He’s a @mcdaag in my book!!!! #1 player in New York! 25 pts yesterday. 20 pts today. Player of the game both days! Dominates every tournament! The numbers don’t lie! Keep working hard baby! They gonna have to pay attention!!”

With his undeniable skills, Kiyan is carving out his own legacy.
