“I saw them in the movie, and they were great. And then, um, Ariana was a great singer. And, um, they made me happy in the movie,” she said.

Taylor, who has quickly become an online sensation, is also known for her simple yet iconic catchphrase: “Yeah!” It’s a small word that has earned her a big place in the hearts of fans everywhere, highlighting her infectious charm and undeniable presence.

In Wicked, Taylor plays Nessarose, a character who is a wheelchair user. Along with co-star Marissa Bode, Taylor made history as the first wheelchair users to take on this role, bringing authentic representation to the silver screen.

The groundbreaking casting was a pivotal moment for many in the disability community, who are often underrepresented in mainstream films.

Taylor’s family has been vocal about the importance of this role.

Her father, Kenny Taylor, thanked Wicked director Jon M. Chu on Instagram for his commitment to authentic representation.

“What you have done for casting an authentic wheelchair user for Nessarose will forever change the lives of so many who see themselves being represented on the big screen through her,” he wrote.

Kenny Taylor also reflected on his daughter’s battle with spina bifida, writing, “From her first movements as a newborn to years of physical therapy, she’s conquered every obstacle with strength, joy, and determination,” he wrote.

He said her photo “landed in the hands of a casting director, and against all odds, she was cast as young Nessarose in Wicked—an authentic wheelchair user at just 4 years old!”
