Dakota Fanning and Elle Fanning joined forces and showcased their elegant sense of styles at Chanel’s 16th Annual Pre-Oscar Awards Dinner on Saturday.

The stylish sisters made a glamorous arrival together with Elle, 26, modeling a navy, sequined minidress while Dakota, 31, donned a baby blue, satin ensemble.

At the star-studded soirée held at The Beverly Hills Hotel in Los Angeles, the pair posed together to show off their looks.

Elle wore a high-neck, A-line dress with a contrasting, gold hem and paired it with a matching, sheer cape with a velvet ribbon tied in a bow at the center.

She paired the sparkly outfit with a quilted clutch with gold hardware as well as sheer, black tights and leather pumps. 

For an additional pop of color, the star of A Complete Unknown — who played the part of a postpartum mother who had just given birth while filming at a hospital with her co-star, Michelle Pfeiffer, earlier this week — completed her look with a bright pink, glossy lip.

The Great actress had her older sister Dakota’s support as she joined her on the red carpet at the pre-Oscars dinner party.

For the gala, The Watchers star also opted for a similar cape-inspired look as she wore a quilted jacket over her shoulders and fastened it at the top with a ribbon tied into a bow.

Underneath, she wore a floral-patterned dress with intricately embroidered details at the bottom of the long skirt.

Both of the Fanning sisters left their identical, light blonde hair down in a straight hairstyle.

They flashed their matching, sweet grins as they posed on the red carpet together before heading into the party together. 

At the upcoming Academy Awards, Elle’s Bob Dylan biopic A Complete Unknown is up for Best Picture. 

The Timothee Chalamet-lead film received a total of eight nominations at this year’s Oscars award ceremony. 

Chalamet is up for the best actor award while Monica Barbaro is up for best supporting actress.

Even though Elle was not nominated, she was recognized for her performance when she won the 2024 National Board of Review Award for Best Supporting Actress. 

In A Complete Unknown, Elle portrays the character Sylvie Russo, who is based on the late, real-life artist Suze Rotolo. 

In the film, Sylvie Russo is Bob Dylan’s (Chalamet) first serious girlfriend and a seminal character in his story. 

She is based on Suze Rotolo, who had been in a relationship with the musician from 1961 to 1964. 

As for Dakota, she last worked on an upcoming horror film: Vicious. 

She also played Marge Sherwood in the Netflix miniseries Ripley and was nominated for a Golden Globe Award in January 2025 for her performance in the show. 

The two Fanning sisters co-run the production company, Lewellen Pictures, and frequently collaborate together.
