As the Big Brother season finale approaches, tensions inside the house have escalated to unprecedented levels.
Exclusive details obtained by the Daily Mail suggest that the housemates were contemplating a mass exit from the show on Friday due to significant ‘behind-the-scenes drama’.
According to an insider, there was a moment when the entire group was poised to walk out. However, producers managed to intervene and persuade the contestants to remain in the game.

One insider claimed the entire house ‘was ready to down tools’ but producers were able to negotiate with the contestants.
‘They were exhausted, tensions were sky-high and there was very real talk of a group walkout. It was chaos behind the scenes,’ they said.
The mood in the house had allegedly ‘turned volatile’ and ‘alliances had crumbled’.
Another source claimed ‘production went into crisis mode’ and emergency meetings were held after the pressure pushed some contestants to breaking point.

‘Phones were ringing off the hook, senior bosses were pulled into emergency meetings. It was the most frantic 24 hours we’ve had all season,’ they revealed.
‘The network was bracing for disaster. There were calls going right up the chain. Nobody wanted a finale with nobody left in the house.’
Bosses reportedly discussed incentives to keep everyone in the house until the finale as they ‘genuinely thought we were going to lose half the cast in one night.
‘No one wanted the season to implode at the final hurdle. Let’s just say some very generous offers were put on the table,’ the source added.
The insider said producers managed to ‘cool things down’ after housemates allegedly demanded each $5000 to stay.
‘Look, everyone was incredibly emotional. Figures were thrown around, deals were discussed. It was a very delicate situation,’ they continued.
‘Everyone is pretending to breathe normally again, but make no mistake, this season nearly derailed,’ a crew member added.
‘It was a miracle we got to the live finale intact… viewers will never truly understand how close it came to falling apart.’
Daily Mail Australia has contacted Channel 10 for comment.

Allana, Bruce, Coco, Colin, and Emily are the final five contestants who remain on the show for Monday night’s finale.
During Sunday’s episode, Edward Doak was sent home, with the popular housemate delivered the bad news in a spectacular way.
Big Brother had each of the housemates read a letter from home – leaving them all, including Edward, 30, in tears.
Edward was the last to read his letter, and his fate was made clear when he realised the final sentences of the note were written in past tense.
He was then told he was leaving the show, after being eliminated in a public vote.
