Chrisean Rock has publicly responded following derogatory remarks made by NLE Choppa about her son, Chrisean Jr., amidst an online altercation involving her former partner, Blueface.
In a candid interview with The Danza Project, Rock shared that she and Choppa later communicated to clear the air, exchanging text messages about the contentious situation.
Reflecting on her message to NLE Choppa, Rock explained, “I told him that speaking negatively about a child is a serious matter in the eyes of God. Scripture teaches us that the power of life and death resides in the tongue, and I will not allow negative words to be spoken over my son. I urged him to address any issues he has with Blueface directly but to leave my child out of it. He should use his platform responsibly and avoid carelessness.”
Rock also took the opportunity to address rumors regarding her son’s development, firmly stating, “My son does not have a disability. He is developing at his own pace and achieving his milestones in his own time. Every child is unique, and I have full confidence in his growth.”
“So I said my son does not have a disability. He is developing at his own pace and hitting his milestones in his own timing. Every child is different, and I’m confident in his growth.”
She added, “It’s like, if anyone, a doctor or whoever, speaks against your child or yourself, you don’t have to accept that. If they’re just guessing or assuming, no. The Word says what it says, and God says what He says. I don’t have to take on what you’re saying.
For me, it’s about protecting what I believe God revealed to me about my son.”
According to Rock, Choppa responded afterward with an apology.
“So then he said, ‘Thank you for the correction. Just wanted to send you sincere apology.’”
Choppa also issued a public apology during a March 9 livestream. During the broadcast, he acknowledged that his words crossed a line.
“I genuinely apologize for what I said about your beautiful baby boy,” he said at the time. “It was not right in no way, shape, or form, and I can’t believe I let my emotions get me that far. … You didn’t deserve that, your baby didn’t deserve it.”
Elsewhere in the interview, Rock opened up about defending her son from Blueface, who recently disowned Chrisean Jr.
“I felt like I’m Chrisean Jr.’s mother. I’m his protector. I’m the person that’s going to speak up for him. I’m the person that’s going to protect him. Who better?”
“And when he look back at it, he’s going to know someone was always there. Even against his daddy. The internet is forever. So yeah.”
Rock also accused Blueface of targeting their child publicly.
“But it’s like you over here making rap songs, calling him a dumb baby. And then you talking about his hair. So now you cyberbullying our kid. He can’t even defend himself.”
“I’ll be a weird mom, ignoring all the signs, all the red flags.”
