As parents, it is important to let your children know not only that they are loved but also appreciated. In a touching social media moment, mother-of-four, Chrissy Teigen took to Instagram, proudly praising her eight-year-old daughter, “Luna Tuna” for being “all the best parts of us in 1 little person”.

The 39-year-old shared a single black and white image of her eldest daughter on the platform, beginning her sweet caption, “Luna tuna appreciation post. I love this photo,” followed by a single teary-eyed emoji.

“The most loving big sister our kids could ever imagine. So funny, so smart, so quick, so kind, so empathetic, so good at art, always open to learning any and all recipes. She is all the best parts of us in one little person,” Teigen concluded, followed by three pale pink heart emojis.

Teigen’s endearing moment came on the heels of another touching moment between the cookbook author and her eldest daughter. Earlier in the week, Luna presented her mother with a homemade “Courage Award.”

Teigen shared a video of the moment on Instagram in the midst of a carousel of images and video that she simply captioned, “DUMP. too tired for captionssss.”

In the video, Luna can be seen reading a cue card that contained just the right words. “Chrissy Teigen, I am proud to present to you the ‘Courage Award,’ ” Luna said in the video.

“This is because you always stand up for what’s right, even when it’s hard. You stand up for women, you help people in need and you fight for a better world.”

After accepting her award, the Cravings author gave her daughter a hug. And of course, with every award given, there is an acceptance speech to follow.

“Well, I would like to thank my family because everything I do is for you guys, and that’s the truth,” Teigen said. “I love you so much. Thank you.”

In addition to Luna, the former Sports Illustrated model also shares three other children with her husband, John Legend. The pair are also parents to: Miles, 6, Esti, 2, and Wren, 19 months.
