The ongoing debate around billionaire politician Ned Nwoko’s marriage to Regina Daniels has been rekindled with fresh allegations presented by activist Omoyele Sowore. These allegations claim that Daniels was still a minor when she wed Nwoko.
Previously, Nwoko had stated that Daniels was 19 years old at the time of their marriage. However, this assertion is now being challenged by new evidence.
Documents from her passport, which were shared on Sowore’s platform, indicate that Regina was born in October 2001. This would mean she was only 17 years old when she and Nwoko got married in 2019.
Her passport documents shared on Sowore’s page suggest she was born in October 2001, making her 17 years old at the time of their 2019 marriage.
According to Sowore, Ned Nwoko changed her full name from Regina Nneamaka Favour Ojeogwu to Regina Daniels and allegedly obtained a fake INEC voter card to conceal her age.
He further claims that the couple traveled internationally, including Jordan, the UAE, and Egypt, but avoided Europe and the US, apparently to prevent scrutiny over her age, alleging that Nwoko introduced her to drugs to maintain control.
The activist, who previously voiced support for Regina Daniels following the arrest of her brother, Sammy, who was later released, has now joined others in demanding transparency and justice.
These revelations have sparked outrage on the social media space, raising debates, with Nigerians demanding accountability.
