Cori Broadus and her fiancé, Wayne Deuce, are overjoyed as they welcome their baby girl home for the first time.
On Instagram, Broadus shared heartfelt photos of herself snuggling with her newborn in bed. The new mom expressed her gratitude by captioning the post, “She’s home. 🤍 Thank you for every prayer, every message, every ounce of love. God heard them all. 🕊️✨”
The couple, Cori, 25, and Wayne, welcomed their daughter, Codi Dreaux, in February 2025, a significant four months before her expected arrival. Due to her premature birth, Codi spent several months in the NICU before finally going home.
In December, Wayne opened up about their challenging journey in a heartfelt social media post. “This isn’t what I planned. This isn’t what anyone prepares you for. But this is where I show up.. every night, every morning, even when we’re exhausted in ways sleep can’t fix. I’ve learned strength doesn’t always look brave. Sometimes it looks like staying. Sometimes it looks like sitting in silence and holding hope together with praying hands. Daddy Loves you Codi Dreaux, my strong girl !! #picu #nicu #nicudad #picudad.”
Cori, who runs a beauty business and is the daughter of Snoop Dogg, has been candid about her health struggles. Diagnosed with lupus at just seven years old, she also battles secondary antiphospholipid antibody syndrome, an autoimmune disorder. Just a year prior to her pregnancy, she endured a stroke.
Despite the complications surrounding her pregnancy and Codi’s early arrival, Cori previously shared that her daughter has continued to show remarkable strength.
“She’s so resilient and strong,” Cori told Us Weekly in an interview published Sept. 16. “She just has so much character.”

The new mom added that doctors and nurses in the NICU often commented on her daughter’s alertness and awareness. “That girl is just a sweet little firecracker,” she said.
Cori has also spoken candidly about the emotional ups and downs of spending weeks in the NICU. “The NICU is a different type of experience,” she shared. “It’s not an easy place to be, but the support is amazing.”
Reflecting on her own medical history, Cori described Codi as her “surprise miracle baby,” noting that doctors once told her she would never be able to have children. “Yet she’s here,” she said. “She’s so beautiful, and I just love her.”
