Cree Summer celebrated her younger daughter’s 10th birthday this past weekend. Hero enjoyed a birthday weekend of festivities, which included a play and a fun outing with family and friends.
“How is it even true that YOU are 10 years old today,” Cree asked her daughter. “My marvelous dancing machine, my witches cackle, my Ray of light, my HERO. We love you,” Summer wrote to her little one. “Thank Great Spirit You were born,” the celebrity mom told her daughter. “Happy Birthday, Miss Peregrine.”
Cree has two kids. Hero is her youngest child. Cree recently spoke with the press about her life as a single mom since finalizing her divorce from Angelo Pullen.
“I had turned 40 and then their father appeared,” Cree said of meeting Angelo. “He literally appeared,” the celebrity mom shared. “He bought the house across the street,” Cree revealed. “He moved in here. We had a really nice, almost a decade together, really good. And then when that relationship ended I became a single mother,” Summer explained.

“I just fell apart, in front of my girls too, and they got to see me,” the celebrity mom revealed. “Because I have to tell you, that destruction was the best destruction of my life in retrospect,” Cree said.
“I am a totally different person after that,” Summer shared regarding her divorce. “Probably a couple of years ago I would have said I was abandoned but now I say I was really liberated. And my daughters got to see me hanging on by a mosquito [inaudible] right? And then they got to just see me soar,” the celebrity mom shared.
“I often find when you go through a separation and you’re on your own as a single mother, boy you sure find what sisterhood is about for real, right ‘cause your sisters come in, especially the ones that have been through it already,” Cree said of her transformation. “They come in and they tell you that there is another side.”
Cree Summer and Angelo Pullen have two daughters, Hero and Brave, together. Brave turns 12 years old this year.
