Da Brat and Jesseca “Judy” Harris-Dupart are joyfully celebrating their son True Legend turning three years old today.
The proud parents took to Instagram, unveiling a series of images and heartfelt tributes from True’s birthday festivities, which showcased a dynamic color scheme of black, red, and white balloons alongside a large, glowing number three.
A charming photo captured the young birthday boy in front of a blue cake, donning a shirt that read “Birthday Boy,” while another image highlighted him playfully posing near the illuminated number three, surrounded by a sea of balloons.
“It’s the BIG 3 for our SONSHINE. Happy Birthday to our blessing @truelegendhd,” they penned alongside the delightful images.
In addition, Da Brat shared video montages of moments with her son, complemented by a touching personal tribute.
“My heartbeat. Happy 3 years SONshine! You are my reason. @truelegendhd,” she wrote.
She continued, “My Everything… Happy 3rd my StankaPot! Awe man I had no idea I would ever be a Mother. But I wouldn’t change it for ANYTHING in this world. Thank YOU GOD for my True Legend… Our TRUE BLESSING. You have changed my life FOREVER. #boymom #luckiestgirlintheworld #TrueMommie #HarrisDupart.”
Da Brat gave birth to True Legend on July 6, 2023, via C-section. Judy, who is also mom to three children from a previous relationship, previously told Entertainment Tonight that she was happy Da Brat got to experience pregnancy for the first time.
“I felt like she deserved the full experience… I knew she would love and appreciate all the parts of it. You know, like, finally seeing the baby and ultrasound and finally feeling the baby kick and the relationship that you’ve developed while growing a baby inside of you,” she said.
In a separate interview with Tamron Hall, Da Brat shared the story behind True Legend’s name.
“I wanted to call him Legend for a long time because I said if we had a girl, I wanted to name her Legacy, and if we had a boy I wanted to name him Legend,” she said.
Judy loved the idea, and together they settled on the name True Legend.
