Seriously? In the latest episode of Married at First Sight, Michelle confronts her husband David about a strange text he sent her. She suspects that her husband has been sexting with another woman, but David insists that’s not the case. However, his bizarre explanation for the racy message only makes him look like he’s hiding something.

David from ‘Married at First Sight’ claims spicy text was meant for his cousin
In the Jan. 21 episode of MAFS, Michelle and David head out of Chicago to visit her family. On their drive to her hometown, Michelle brings up an “interesting” text message she received from him the previous evening.
“Last night, David texted me, ‘You are so damn fine, I wanna eat you up,” Michelle explains.
Considering the lack of intimacy in her and David’s marriage, Michelle is sure she wasn’t the intended recipient. And David’s reaction when she brings it up suggests she’s right to suspect something else is going on.
“That was about food,” David says. “My cousin Denise texted me. And I was like, I’d eat her up, the food that she had right now.”
The more David talks, the weirder his story sounds.
“She was holding food. She sent me a picture of food that they were eating because they invited me out,” he says. “And I was like, ‘I just want to eat you up right now’ because she had all the food … It wasn’t a big deal. And I didn’t know if you got it either, cause I deleted it real quick.”
Michelle doesn’t believe David’s story
Michelle is immediately skeptical of David’s explanation for the message.
“I’m not sure who talks to their food like that,” she tells a producer.
Later, Michelle dishes about the situation with her friend.
“That makes it weirder,” she says of his story about the missent text. “Why are you texting your cousin that she’s so damn fine.”
“My gut tells me that he accidentally texted me and that it was for somebody else,” she adds.
At the end of the episode, Michelle again confronts David about the message. As she presses him to reveal the real story, he gets defensive. Michelle accuses him of lying before leaving the room.
Is Madison the other woman?
Something isn’t adding up about David’s story. The story about the cousin sounds like a feeble attempt to cover his tracks, and Michelle is likely right in thinking there’s another woman involved. At this point, she’s not sure who it is. But a comment she makes to her friend could offer a clue.
“Is there, like, another Michelle that he’s sexting with?” she wonders.
Our guess? David’s not sexting with another Michelle, but rather his fellow Married at First Sight cast member Madison.
David mentioned that he was at a bar with Madison and her husband Allen the night he sent the message. If he wanted to flirt with Madison without Allen noticing, he could have sent her the suspicious sext. But it would have been easy for him to mix up Madison and Michelle in his phone (especially if he’d been drinking) and send the text to the wrong woman.
If that is what happened, it fits neatly with the theory that Madison and David are two of the people involved in the couples’ swap the show has been teasing. We’ll have to wait to find out, but whatever is going on, it’s sure to be messy.
