With romance rumors swirling, here’s what a body language expert noticed about Orlando Bloom and Sydney Sweeney’s stroll in Venice.
There have been plenty of headlines following Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez’s wedding in Venice as a multitude of celebrities traveled to the Italian city to see the pair say “I do.”
But one celebrity was making news and raising eyebrows before the ceremony even took place and that’s Orlando Bloom, who showed up for the multi-day affair and festivities without Katy Perry. There were reports that the two broke up and the Pirates of the Caribbean actor told people he was single and ready to mingle.
After the wedding, he was spotted with fellow actor Sydney Sweeney, and now everyone is wondering what’s going on between them. Well, here’s what a body language expert observed.
Darren Stanton is a body language and behavioral expert with a degree in psychology. He previously worked as a police officer and used his expertise to uncover the truth when interviewing hundreds of suspects. He later moved into media and TV as a consultant and has been dubbed the “Human Lie Detector.”
Speaking on behalf of OLBG, Stanton told Showbiz Cheat Sheet: “The photos of Orlando and Sydney are interesting, as they both seem to be making a big effort not to display any sort of emotion towards each other. Orlando has a very big smile on his face, whereas Sydney’s is more subdued. There’s some distance between them — they’re not holding hands or showing any sort of PDA. At the moment, it looks like they’re deliberately trying not to give anything away and certainly don’t want to fuel any rumours.”
The expert added: “From a non-verbal perspective, there are no signs of reciprocal liking, which can be shown through eye contact or holding hands. They’re currently playing their cards very close to their chest. The only giveaway is Orlando’s beaming smile, but from Sydney, she’s not giving anything away in terms of microexpressions of emotion.”
