Lauren Graham spent seven years portraying Lorelai Gilmore on Gilmore Girls. She has made it clear that she loves the role and would return to Stars Hollow to reprise the role at a moment’s notice. That doesn’t mean she was in love with every moment of the job, though. Recently, Graham revealed her favorite and least favorite scenes to film and town locations.

Lauren Graham shares her least and most favorite scenes

Lauren Graham hasn’t been back to Stars Hollow to film a complete episode since 2016, but she can still recall her favorite and least favorite scene types and locations. During a recent appearance on Call Her Daddy, Graham revealed that her favorite scenes to film were scenes inside Rory and Lorelai Gilmore’s house. The iconic actor said the scenes, often shot in the kitchen or living room, just felt cozy.

Her least favorite location in Stars Hollow was the town hall. Graham revealed that while the scenes always turned out great, it was incredibly hot inside the building, and it was often packed with 50 cast and crew members. She also noted that the scenes are extremely cumbersome to film.

Other cast members agree about the town meetings

Gilmore Girls fans largely love the town hall meetings. The scenes often highlighted some lesser-seen characters and felt quirky and quaint. Hearing that Lauren Graham didn’t love them is a bit of a bummer. She wasn’t the only one, though.

During a 2016 interview, Scott Patterson, who portrayed Luke Danes, admitted he dreaded filming town hall scenes. He told Starry Magazine that the days were long, with actors often sitting in the building for hours at a time. He said there was no way to shorten the day because of the coverage needed to make the scene work. While Patterson didn’t love the process, he did see the value in it. In fact, he even found something he liked about them. Patterson insisted that Michael Winters, the actor who portrayed Taylor Doosey, was the “saving grace” of the process. Taylor, as Stars Hollow’s town selectman, led the meetings.

Sally Struthers admitted to finding them tiresome, too. Struthers told Teen Vogue that she invented a game to help her and her castmates get through filming scenes involving Stars Hollow’s town meetings. She had castmates seated near her, guessing what was in her purse. While the game wasn’t particularly intriguing, she insisted it helped pass the time.

Will the cast return for a second revival?

Gilmore Girls ended its original run in 2007. In 2016, most of the cast returned for a four-part revival on Netflix. Since then, fans have been clamoring for more, but it hasn’t happened yet. Several cast members are keen to return to Stars Hollow. Scott Patterson, Lauren Graham, and Keiko Agena have all expressed interest in reprising their roles.

Amy Sherman-Palladino, the mastermind behind the series, has also expressed an interest in telling more of Lorelai and Rory’s story. Still, it hasn’t happened yet, and if it does, it will be a bit down the road. Amy Sherman-Palladino recently revealed that there have been no recent talks about a second revival. She is currently busy with another proje
