Myles Turner was selected with the 11th overall pick in the 2015 NBA Draft by the Indiana Pacers, which is the only team he has played for during his professional career.
Turner has been a big part of the Pacers’ success whether he’s surpassing records en route to become the franchise’s all-time blocks leader or showing up in a big way during the team’s playoff runs.
Now, fans want to know a little more about Turner and his girlfriend, Aysia McCloud aka Aysia Janelle.
When Turner and Janelle started dating
While the exact date when Turner and Janelle started dating isn’t known, it’s believed to be sometime in 2023 as that’s when they first began posting about each other on social media.
Their official relationship launch on Instagram came in July 2023, when Janelle shared a carousel of photos of them together and captioned it: “Tie that binds.”
That same year, the pair went viral with their coordinating outfits for Star Wars night during a Pacers home game. The athlete dressed as Han Solo and Janelle wore a Princess Leia costume. And for Halloween, the two were decked out in Harry Potter outfits.
What Janelle does for a living
According to Janelle’s LinkedIn, she attended the University of Tennessee where she earned her bachelor’s degree in retail and consumer science and business administration.
She currently works as a marketing manager for Alphaeon Credit, a patient financing program that works with healthcare and service companies.
Janelle helps Turner with one of his favorite, ‘nerdy’ hobbies
Turner is a self-proclaimed “nerd” and enjoys building things with Legos.
“I build Legos, I don’t play with Legos,” he previously told reporters. “At least 3-4 hours of my day I’m putting stuff together. I’ve already built 12 different projects. I’ve gone through 120,000 Legos since the season started.”
When speaking to Slam Magazine, he shared: “My dad’s the one who really introduced me to it. And I kind of took it and made it my own … I think of myself when I’m on the basketball floor like I’m an artist and what I do on the floor itself is my art, it’s how I create. The stuff you work on in the gym, in the lab in the offseason, is the stuff that you put on display when you’re actually in the middle of an NBA game.
“It’s kind of the same thing (with Legos). All the stuff that you come up with in your head, you’re able to take a few pieces and throw something together. And it’s like, ‘Damn I really did that.’ It’s something to be proud of.”
And his creations are seriously impressive.
He’s built a 2,000-piece Star Wars Imperial Star Destroyer, the Batwing and Batmobile, a two-foot-tall Lego Mario figure, Cinderella’s Castle, a WWE belt, the Home Alone house, and his most difficult: a 9,000-piece replica of The Titanic.
Janelle has joined Turner in building different things now too, including a custom 2,500-piece image of a poster of Giannis Antetokounmpo from the 2022-23 season.
