The second episode of Euphoria‘s third season brings an intriguing character into the mix. Angel, portrayed by Priscilla Delgado, is a captivating new addition to the series. As a spirited dancer at the Silver Slipper, she quickly becomes entangled with Rue (played by Zendaya) in a complex relationship that blurs the lines between friendship and romance. However, the future for this enigmatic character remains uncertain, as her journey could lead to either redemption or tragedy.

**Warning: Spoilers ahead for Euphoria Season 3 Episode 2, now available on HBO Max**

The season’s premiere episode saw Rue narrowly escaping death at the hands of Alamo (Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje), a formidable figure who owns a strip club. Rue had arrived at his lavish ranch to deliver narcotics purchased from Laurie (Martha Kelly), and she quickly gained his trust. However, the situation took a dire turn when one of the dancers, Tish (Emma Kotos), succumbed to a fentanyl overdose from Laurie’s stash. Although Rue took responsibility, she managed to convince Alamo to test fate, leading to a tense moment where she survived a dangerous challenge, ultimately securing a place in his operation.

In the latest episode, viewers discover Rue’s new role under Alamo’s command. Her initial task involves disposing of Tish’s body, but soon her duties expand. Rue finds herself assisting at the Silver Slipper, one of Alamo’s provocative establishments. It is here that she meets the fiery Angel, and the two quickly become involved on their first encounter. However, their relationship soon deepens into a more intricate dynamic.

Angel, who was close friends with Tish, becomes suspicious of the official story that her friend simply ran off with a man. Eventually, Rue confides in Angel, revealing the truth about Tish’s overdose, though she omits her own involvement. This revelation sends Angel into a downward spiral of addiction, which begins to jeopardize her standing at the Silver Slipper.

Rue argues on Angel’s behalf to Alamo, saying she just needs rehab, but the stripper can’t afford it. Alamo says he’ll pay for it. Rue is given the task of bringing a distressed Angel to this rehab facility and the ride is full of ominous clues that Alamo may not be as magnanimous as Rue believes. Angel ruminates on how many people go missing in California and the rehab facility is creepy, to say the least. Nevertheless, Rue leaves Angel there.

When DECIDER asked Euphoria star Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje if we should be assume that Alamo is used to losing girls like Tish and/or Angel, he said, “I think you should. You should always look at whatever he’s doing with an inkling of extra danger.”

“I think one of the nice things about this relationship between Alamo and Rue’s characters, is that it’s somewhat of a dance,” Akinnuoye-Agbaje said. “I think he sees some elements of himself in her, which is why he’s able to give her us a relative grace.”

“But he’s watching her like a hawk and seeing how she performs at these tasks. If she fails, she’s gone. If she excels, maybe he can use her. Do you know what I mean?”

Euphoria star Martha Kelly also revealed to DECIDER that the reason why Laurie calls Alamo a pig — much to his chagrin — probably has to do with what she knows about his relationship with his “girls.”

“I think that they have a past where she saw him treat women as bad as you can possibly treat them,” Kelly said. “And so we haven’t seen how how brutal he can be yet…but I think Laurie knows more of what he’s capable of.”

Okay, but circling back to the electrifying Angel. Who plays Angel on Euphoria?

Who Plays Angel on Euphoria? Meet Priscilla Delgado

24-year-old actress Priscilla Delgado plays Angel on Euphoria Season 3. The Spanish actress was born in Puerto Rico and started acting as a child in Spain, appearing in shows like Paco’s Men and La chica de ayer. She continued to work steadily in Spain through her adolescence, playing young Antía in Pedro Almodovar’s 2016 film Julieta.

In 2002, Delgado made her stateside debut in Prime Video’s critically-acclaimed series, A League of Their Own. Delgado played Esti González, one of the women playing for the Rockford Peaches. The series was sadly canceled after one season.
