The NFL’s decision to feature Bad Bunny as the main performer for the Super Bowl LX halftime show sparked a cultural debate, leading to an alternative event organized by Turning Point USA. Dubbed The All-American Halftime Show, this counterprogramming featured performances by Kid Rock, Brantley Gilbert, Lee Brice, and Gabby Barrett. Despite rumors suggesting a potential last-minute cancellation, the concert was successfully broadcast on Turning Point USA’s YouTube channel, Rumble platforms, and the CHARGE! Channel, coinciding with the start of the Super Bowl halftime on Sunday night.
While the Super Bowl took place at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California, reports indicate that The All-American Halftime Show was pre-recorded in Atlanta, Georgia, although this detail was not confirmed during the broadcast. The specific location appeared to be an industrial-style warehouse or airport hangar, but it remains unverified. Additionally, there was speculation about whether the artists, especially headliner Kid Rock, performed live or lip-synced, which drew criticism from some viewers. The show ran for 32 minutes, nearly twice as long as the NFL’s halftime performance.
The program amassed an audience of 6.1 million concurrent viewers on YouTube, attracting a conservative audience that opposed Bad Bunny—a primarily Spanish-speaking Puerto Rican artist—as the NFL’s halftime choice. Notably, former President Trump refrained from commenting on The All-American Halftime Show either during or after its airing.
Andrew Kolvet of Turning Point USA described the event as a “massive success” during an appearance on One Nation with Brian Kilmeade. He also revealed plans for another All-American Halftime Show, which is set to make a return during the Super Bowl LXI on February 14, 2027.
