Before its first season had even fully aired, Pluribus shattered records on Apple TV, becoming the platform’s most-watched show in history. With such immense popularity, it’s no wonder fans are eagerly anticipating what’s next once the Season 1 finale concludes. Vince Gilligan’s masterful storytelling has left viewers clamoring for more.

The debut season introduced audiences to Carol Sturka, portrayed by Rhea Seehorn, as she confronted a drastically transformed world. Her journey through profound grief and solitude led her to unexpected friendships, including one with fellow survivor Manousos, played by Carlos-Manuel Vesga. As the season progressed, Carol faced an existential choice: should she prioritize saving the world, or follow her heart?

For those who caught Episode 9, titled “La Chica o El Mundo,” you’re already in on how Carol’s decision unfolded. The episode’s title, which translates to “The Girl or The World,” suggests the weight of her choice, and hints at the abundant storytelling potential that remains. The pressing question now is, when can fans expect new episodes?

The good news is that Pluribus has already been renewed for a second season. Apple TV made the savvy decision to greenlight Season 2 even before the premiere of the first installment, capitalizing on the show’s rapidly growing fanbase. Given its record-breaking status, the anticipation for what’s to come is palpable.

Will There Be A Pluribus Season 2 On Apple TV?

So, when exactly will Pluribus return, and what can viewers expect from Season 2? While specific premiere dates and plot details remain under wraps, the confirmation of a new season ensures that Carol’s story will continue to captivate audiences. Stay tuned for further updates as the next chapter of Pluribus unfolds.

Pluribus Season 2 Premiere Date: When Does Pluribus Return With New Episodes On Apple TV?

While an official Pluribus Season 2 premiere date has yet to be announced, fans can assume it will take quite a while for new episodes to premiere, considering Seehorn said the Season 2 writers’ room is still working away. Per Forbes, “it looks like it’s going to be 2-2.5 years until Season 2 airs,” which certainly isn’t ideal. But things can always change, so stay tuned for post-mort updates from Gilligan and team.

What Will Pluribus Season 2 Be About?

The brilliant brain of Vince Gilligan is delightfully unpredictable, so naturally, we’ll have to wait and see what twists, turns, and surprises Pluribus Season 2 has in store. But based on the plot of the show and the events of Season 1’s finale, it’s clear that we’ll continue watching Carol — and her new neighbor, Manousos — work to save the world, and crucially, themselves from being turned. We know that Carol’s stem cells are being obtained from her frozen eggs against her will, and that she has one to three months until The Other figure out how to tailor the virus and change her. So the clock is ticking!

After chatting with Samba Schutte, who plays Mr. Diabate, we also hope that Season 2 will take a deeper look at the 12 other immune people (now 11, without Kusimayu) besides Carol. Give us some backstories, Day 1 flashbacks, or present-day check-ins. (Laxmi, we miss you!) And although Zosia left Carol behind in the finale, we need to see more of her and The Others in Season 2. We want more of everything that made Season 1 great, and Gilligan more risks and jaw-droppingly clever twists in Season 2.

How Many Episodes Will Be In Pluribus Season 2?

We’ll have to wait for an official episode count, but there’s a chance that Pluribus Season 2 could deliver another nine-episode season or even bump up to 10, like Severance did following its nine-episode debut season. Stay tuned for more updates.

Will There Be A Pluribus Season 3 (And Beyond)?

While Apple TV hasn’t officially renewed Pluribus beyond Season 2 yet, we do know it became the streamer’s most-watched show ever, breaking records previously held by hits like Severance and Ted Lasso. So it’s safe to assume Apple TV will to stay in Pluribusiness for as long as possible

Gilligan recently said he saw Pluribus running for four seasons, telling Esquire, “If you ask me, right here, right now, in November of 2025… [four] seems like a good figure to me. It’d be good to get to around 40 episodes.” That said, he also told Variety he wants the show to run as long as Rhea Seehorn wants. So how long does Seehorn want to be in Pluribusiness? (I’m making this a thing now.) “I hope it’s like 10 seasons,” Seehorn told Variety.

When looking at Gilligan’s last two shows, Breaking Bad aired five seasons, while Better Call Saul ran for six seasons. So the creator/writer/director is no stranger to a lengthy story that continues to evolve beyond his original vision. Fingers crossed that Pluribus has a long streaming life ahead of it, and we’ll keep you posted on future updates.
