Meghan Trainor quit daily habit a psychic said she used like 'speed'

Meghan Trainor has recently opened up about her decision to ditch her daily coffee habit, a change that comes as part of her broader “mommy makeover” journey.

Following the arrival of her two sons, Riley, who is four, and Barry, aged two, with her husband Daryl Sabara, Trainor embarked on a personal transformation. This included undergoing a breast augmentation and successfully losing 60 pounds.

Earlier this year, the 31-year-old singer sparked widespread speculation from fans who were curious about her noticeably slimmer appearance amidst the Hollywood trend of using Ozempic for weight loss.

In April, Trainor addressed these rumors by clarifying that she had used Mounjaro, another injectable medication initially developed for diabetes treatment, similar to Ozempic.

Recently, she shared with People magazine that she has given up coffee, which she used to consume throughout the day to maintain energy levels. However, this habit often left her feeling jittery and unable to sleep at night.

Her decision came after Sabara visited a psychic who said: ‘Your wife is using coffee like speed. She’s non-stop and it’s not helping her and she’s just crashing out.’

Trainor noted that the psychic had ‘never met me’ before coming to the determination about her caffeine habit, which turned out to be startlingly accurate.

‘I was like: “How does she know that?” And he came home and told me, and I immediately stopped. Cold turkey just stopped because I was drinking it all day to just survive and be steady and then I would crash and be buzzing at night to sleep.’

With her hormones ‘off’ and her adrenal glands ‘shot,’ she ‘wasn’t feeling great. And I was like: “I don’t understand. I eat so healthy, I work out. Why do I feel like this?” And I realized I was overworking myself.’

After suffering through a ‘tough week’ of weaning herself off coffee, she managed to shake off her dependency and now has ‘more energy than ever.’

When her next tour begins in June, she will be without the energy boost of caffeine but still plans to maintain her old routine: ‘No sleep, power through and thrive.’

Her latest revelation comes after she shared that she contracted gestational diabetes while pregnant with Barry, which drove her to become ‘obsessed’ with her health and embark on the fitness regime that helped her sluice off her post-baby weight, via the local Los Angeles radio station KBIG.

Gestational diabetes typically goes away after the birth but its incidence is correlated with a higher risk of type 2 diabetes later on, according to the Mayo Clinic.

Trainor’s diagnosis made her think: ‘Oh, I’ve got to learn about health and fitness if I want to tour forever. I’ve got to be at my strongest if I want to lift up my kids from their crib and not pull out my back,’ she explained.

She now scrupulously keeps tabs on her gut health and hormone levels in order to ‘feel good,’ reasoning that ‘this job is hard to do if you don’t feel good.’

Trainer has dropped a new single about her ‘obsessed’ trolls called Still Don’t Care, in which she calls herself ‘too cool to cry’ and ‘too hot to stress.’

However in her new interview she shared that in actuality she was ‘rattled’ by the blowback she received for losing weight.

‘It’s weird – I’m finally so proud of myself and starting to love myself, and I’ve never gotten more hate,’ said the Someone Else singer ‘I was confused, lost, really sad and heartbroken that I took care of myself but everyone’s angry.’

Said she: ‘Everyone was like: “Why are you thin now? You’re All About the Bass girl.” I was 19 when I came out with that song and I’ve been on a fitness journey since.’

Trainor soldiers through the barrages of criticism by relying on her loved ones, as well as her therapist who told her: ‘You give these strangers so much power.’

Her reaction to her therapist’s admonition was to think: ‘Ew, I don’t want to give strangers power! I want to have my own power and not care.’

After welcoming her sons Riley, four, and Barry, two, with her husband Daryl Sabara, Trainor underwent a breast augmentation and shed 60lbs

She went public with her Mounjaro use on April Fool’s Day, addressing the rumors that had swirled online after a recent red carpet appearance of hers.

‘No, I don’t look like I did 10 years ago. I’ve been on a journey to be the healthiest, strongest version of myself for my kids and for me,’ she said.

‘I’ve worked with a dietician, made huge lifestyle changes, started exercising with a trainer, and yes, I used science and support (shoutout to Mounjaro!) to help me after my 2nd pregnancy. And I’m so glad I did because I feel great,’ she dished.

‘Here’s to celebrating talent, growth, and the power of putting yourself first. Let’s keep shifting the convo to what REALLY matters,’ she urged, signing off ‘With love.’

Trainor has won many admirers for her refreshing candor about the steps she has taken to transform her figure, including medical interventions.

She ecstatically debuted her new boob job on Instagram this March, declaring she had undergone both an augmentation and a lift.

‘I’ve always struggled with loving my boobs before I got them done, because they were never even, were always sagging my whole life,’ she revealed.

As she spoke about the way her breasts used to be, she played some before footage of her posing in the mirror in a sheer white crop top and no bra.

Now she has disclosed that she did in fact contract gestational diabetes while pregnant with Barry; she is pictured in April 2023 while carrying her younger child

Her post announcing her new surgery was a collaboration with Motiva, the company behind her implants, which she praised for having a ‘natural look and feel.’

‘My breasts look fuller yet completely natural and they complement my body proportions beautifully,’ she said. ‘They’re finally twin sisters and not distant cousins.’

The implant reveal a few months after she publicly announced that she was planning to have her breasts surgically enhanced.

She first broke the news in November 2024, saying that she was willing to undergo the procedure because she was no longer lactating.

‘My mommy boobies were full of milk and now they’re empty and then they’re full of milk and now they’re empty,’ she said on her podcast Workin’ On It.

‘They got big, they got small, they got big, they got small, I’ve lost some weight and I have, like, saggy sacks as boobs,’ the All About That Bass singer dished.

‘What’s really difficult is when I’m trying on all these amazing outfits for tour and for shows coming up, I have to wear the most supportive bras,’ she said.

‘It could ruin the outfit and they squeeze my sides. I’ve always joked and said for years, like: “I can’t wait till I can get a boob job!”‘

She spilled that she had wanted breast implants her ‘whole life’ and was now ‘gonna have boobies that don’t look at the floor and it’s gonna be huge.’

Trainer clarified: ‘They’re not gonna be big, sorry, they’re going to be tiny. I mean, it’s going to be huge for my confidence.’
