Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck finalized their divorce and have both moved on with their lives. While their marriage didn’t work out, their divorce has been surprisingly dignified. Still, the former couple has one major issue to resolve. They have yet to sell the massive property they bought when planning forever together. It has been many months, and Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck still haven’t gotten rid of their Beverly Hills estate. Neither is living at the property. So, where do they rest their heads?

Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck purchased their Beverly Hills estate on May 31, 2023, for $60.85 million in cash. It took them nearly two years of house hunting to find the property, and it was still apparently a compromise. Following their split, they both packed up and moved out of the 38,000-square-foot mansion. Selling it has proven to be a complicated process. The couple listed the home for sale in July 2024. They are asking $68 million. Ten months later, they don’t have a buyer in sight. Experts feel certain they’ll have to sell it at a loss.

While that might be disheartening, it’s not really a big surprise. According to the Realtor, the property offers some serious amenities but comes with issues. The home includes 12 bedrooms, 24 bathrooms, and a 12-car garage. It also features a 5,000-square-foot guest penthouse, a caretaker house, a two-bedroom guardhouse, and an indoor sports complex featuring basketball and pickleball courts. Even with luxury amenities, it’s too much house for even the richest Los Angeles residents. Before Ben and Jenn took on the project, it sat on the market for years. The home was originally listed for $135 million in 2018 and later reduced to $75 million before their purchase.

Where do Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck live now?

While the expansive home that neither Lopez nor Affleck wants languishes on the real estate market, they are both enjoying new homes. Affleck has been in his new residence for longer than his ex-wife. Affleck bought his home, closer to his ex-wife, Jennifer Garner, and the children they share, in July 2024. The $20.5 million equestrian estate is located in the Sullivan Canyon area of Brentwood, Los Angeles. According to The Real Deal, the estate, designed by renowned architect Cliff May in 1941, spans 6,200 square feet. It includes five bedrooms and six bathrooms and is situated on an acre of land.

Jennifer Lopez purchased her Hidden Hills home in February 2025. The $17.5 million estate is in a gated community and offers five bedrooms and eight bathrooms. The home, which she shares with her twins, comes with additional luxury amenities, like a guest house, pool house, and a barn. Lopes also maintains homes in Miami and New York.

How far apart are the exes’ homes?

Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez’s disastrous marriage clearly required the pair to put some significant space between them. While they are both living in Los Angeles County, their new homes are pretty far apart. It would take the former flames over an hour to travel between their two houses if they were ever interested in reconnecting again.

During the early stages of their divorce, rumors had swirled that Affleck had never wanted the home he and Lopez purchased together, noting that the location was too far from where Garner and his kids were living. Lopez reportedly didn’t really love it either, preferring a different style. Based on their quick moves following the split, the rumors might have been true.
