Drake and Sophie Brussaux marked their son Adonis’ eighth birthday with a festive cowboy-themed celebration over the weekend.
The globally renowned rapper, known for hits like “God’s Plan,” and the talented French artist organized a Western-inspired party. The event featured rustic decorations such as hay bales and cowhide rugs, along with a massive “Wanted” sign humorously offering a $10 million “reward” for Adonis.
Photographs from the event show Adonis beaming with joy as he engaged in arcade games with his friends and posed for photos with his parents. One particularly heartwarming image captured Adonis in a tender embrace with his father during the lively celebration.
Since welcoming Adonis on October 11, 2017, Drake and Brussaux have occasionally shared snapshots of their son’s life with the public.
Despite this, Drake initially approached revealing his son to the world with caution and hesitance.
On his 2018 double album, Scorpion, he famously rapped, “The kid is mine,” and “I wasn’t hidin’ my kid from the world / I was hidin’ the world from my kid.”
He later opened up on Young Money Radio about wanting to enjoy normal experiences with his son.
“I want to be able to go places with my son and share memories with my son,” Drake told rapper Lil Wayne. “I don’t want to feel like just because of a life choice I made to be a ‘celebrity’ that I got to make everybody live under this blanket ….”
