The OWN reality series returns November 15 with all-new episodes following a group of longtime friends and frenemies who live in Huntsville, Alabama: Maurice and Kimmi Scott; Marsau and LaTisha Scott; Martell Holt; Chris and Nell Fletcher; Destiny Payton; and Latricia Reedus and Ken Lee.
The new episodes pick up with Marsau and Martell calling a truce and putting their beef behind them. That inspires the Fletchers to throw a get-together game night for the group. Meanwhile, Destiny goes on a date with Nell’s godson. LaTricia and Ken will also have a heart-to-heart conversation that prompts her to begin a powerful healing journey.
Ken is out of patience with Latricia in next episode of ‘Love & Marriage: Huntsville’
In this clip from the November 15 episode, Ken tells Latricia that she needs to make a change if she wants their relationship to work. He’s tired of bearing the brunt of her negative emotions, he says.
Latricia agrees that things are not great between them.
“We have to control our aggressions,” she admits.
But Ken wants Latricia to take some concrete action.
“What happens from here?” he asks his girlfriend. “Because even now, like right now, even in this conversation, it’s showing that we can’t have the conversation without it being a back and forth.”
“I think a lot of the frustrations in our relationship stem from things that I have nothing to do with,” he explains in a confessional. “And I think your personal trauma shouldn’t be allowed to determine the way you treat other people.”
Ken thinks Latricia needs therapy
Latricia lost both of her parents within a few months of each other and was also present when her sister died. Previously, she said that her former husband’s inability to support her emotionally through those events led to the end of her marriage. Ken is sympathetic to her struggles, but he also thinks she needs to take ownership of her emotions.
“I understand what Trish has went through in her past,” he says. “And I’m trying so hard to kind of continue to be patient. But if she doesn’t get the help and the proper therapy that she needs, it’s probably definitely not going to work for us.”
Latricia says she’s willing to work with Ken, but she wants to know what steps they need to take to move forward.
“There has to be some change as far as, like, therapy,” he tells her. “I mean, I think I’ve been pretty damn patient with this s***. It’s been three years. But that’s something that you have to take the lead on. I personally, I can’t keep getting beat over the head for some s*** I didn’t do.”
Love & Marriage: Huntsville airs on Saturdays at 8 p.m. ET/PT on OWN.
