Drama Unleashed: Liz McGraw Denies Hair-Pulling Scandal on ‘RHORI’ Amidst Explosive Bravo Showdown

Is Liz McGraw being painted as the antagonist in the latest season of The Real Housewives of Rhode Island? The self-declared “Queen of Cannabis” from Rhode Island finds herself embroiled in controversy following a heated confrontation with fellow cast member Alicia Carmody, and an even more explosive clash with Jo-Ellen Tiberi.

During last week’s episode of RHORI, tensions flared when McGraw and Carmody got into a verbal altercation en route to Rosie DiMare’s husband’s performance—he’s a Frank Sinatra singer, not an impersonator. The dispute arose from Carmody’s assertion that she was homeless as a child. According to Carmody, after her father sold their family home and abandoned her and her mother, they were left without a place to live. However, McGraw, who has known Carmody for years, contested this claim, arguing that Carmody wasn’t truly homeless since she was able to live with her grandmother after the house was sold.

The drama intensified as Tiberi, who had previously agreed with McGraw’s interpretation of “homelessness,” seemed to switch sides and defend Carmody during the car ride. This perceived betrayal left McGraw feeling frustrated. As the episode progressed, the tension was palpable at Rich DiMare’s show, and McGraw’s refusal to mask her frustration only escalated the conflict with Tiberi.

When McGraw stepped outside for a cigarette break, Tiberi followed her, attempting to explain why Carmody felt hurt. McGraw, however, stood firm in her belief that Carmody wasn’t homeless, confronting Tiberi with unwavering intensity. The situation escalated further when McGraw, in a moment of heated emotion, warned Tiberi to “get out of [her] face,” while Tiberi maintained her composure.

Back inside, Tiberi, visibly upset, continued to challenge McGraw’s abrasive behavior, calling it “nasty” and “mean.” The confrontation reached a boiling point when McGraw appeared to pull on Tiberi’s hair, prompting Tiberi to threaten a physical response. As Tiberi turned to watch the show, McGraw pushed her chair away aggressively, hurling insults and calling Tiberi a “piece of shit.”

Tiberi ultimately got up and left the event, but it was only the start of her feud with McGraw.

When the duo met up at the end of the episode, McGraw bizarrely denied any wrongdoing—as if the entire situation wasn’t captured on camera. She called Tiberi a “freak” and referred to her as “the devil” for claiming she pulled her hair at Rich’s show. “I didn’t pull your hair and you know it,” McGraw curtly insisted. When confronted about the way she pushed Tiberi’s chair, she merely responded, “There’s something so fucked up about you,” before accusing her co-star of attempting to assassinate her character.

“The minute she said I put my hands on her, I knew right there, we’re not here to reconcile. We’re here to fucking battle,” McGraw said in her confessional. “I don’t believe I put my hands on her in any kind of way except maybe to get her chair away from me. There’s a difference.”

Again, both moments were caught on camera. So, it seems that McGraw is going to have some explaining to do at the reunion! After all, there’s a reason why she’s first chair.

The Real Housewives of Rhode Island airs Sunday nights at 9 p.m. ET/PT on Bravo. New episodes are available to stream the next day on Peacock.
