Esteemed gospel artist and minister, Dunsin Oyekan, has expressed deep sorrow concerning the increasing violence sweeping across Nigeria.
In a heartfelt message shared on his official social media platform, Oyekan lamented the continuous assaults that have tragically stolen the lives of many innocent Nigerians.
Recently, chilling reports emerged detailing an attack on a Christ Apostolic Church (CAC) branch situated in Kwara State. This violent incident, occurring on a Tuesday evening, claimed the lives of three churchgoers and led to the abduction of several individuals, including the church’s pastor.
This grievous occurrence was preceded by another harrowing assault in Bama Local Government Area of Borno State on Monday night. In this attack, suspected Boko Haram insurgents reportedly took the lives of eight individuals, adding to the growing concerns about security in the region.
This tragic event followed a separate attack in Bama Local Government Area of Borno State on Monday night, where suspected Boko Haram militants reportedly killed eight people.
Oyekan condemned the Kwara attack as a ruthless act and questioned the government’s response to the nation’s growing security challenges. He offered prayers for justice and appealed for divine intervention to stop the violence.
He stated:
“May the Lord judge the enemies of this nation once and for all in this season. These killings are too much, senseless, and cruel! Psalm 82:1-8 is my prayer in this season. And we have a government abi????”
