Eddie Murphy and Martin Lawrence are now “in-laws” after their children secretly got hitched.
Congrats are in order for Eddie Murphy’s son, Eric Murphy, and Martin Lawrence‘s daughter, Jasmin Lawrence, who recently tied the knot.
Eddie shared the happy news during an episode of The Jennifer Hudson Show on May 29.
“They got married, like, two weeks ago,” the Beverly Hills Cop actor told his Dream Girls co-star. “Everybody was making the big wedding plans, and they decided they wanted to do something quiet with just the two of them.”
Eddie joked that because of that, Martin “doesn’t have to pay for that big wedding now.”
He then offered a few more details about the wedding, sharing that Eric and Jasmin “went off and they got married at the church. They just had the two of them and the preacher. They had a quiet little thing.”
Eddie added that the family may have a big party for them in the future; perhaps the Bad Boys star will foot the bill for that.
Eric and Jasmin announced in July 2021 that they were dating and got engaged in November 2024.
Eric is Eddie’s oldest child, whom he shares with his ex-girlfriend Paulette McNeely. Jasmin’s mother is Patricia Southall, who was married to Martin from 1995 to 1997.
