Elisabeth Hasselbeck recently criticized Megyn Kelly following a segment on The View that showcased a clip from The Megyn Kelly Show. In this clip, Kelly expressed disapproval of the United States’ recent military operations targeting Iran.

During the segment, Kelly commented on the tragic loss of four U.S. service members during the attacks. She stated, “I don’t think those four service members died for the United States. I think they died for Iran or for Israel,” a statement that sparked debate on The View.

Hasselbeck, stepping in for Alyssa Farah Griffin during her maternity leave, defended the U.S. military actions against Iran and responded to Kelly’s remarks.

“The strikes have been effective in dismantling parts of the terrorist regime in Iran,” Hasselbeck asserted to her fellow panelists on The View. She added, “There are still unanswered questions regarding the proximity of the military target to a school, and we are continuing to gather information.”

Sunny Hostin then interjected, pointing out that “175 people, most of them children, were killed in that strike.” Undeterred, Hasselbeck addressed Kelly directly, continuing her critique.

“If I can just say this, number one: Megyn Kelly’s clip that we ran before saying who those troops died for. How dare you, Megyn Kelly?” she said. “When they are sacrificing their lives in our uniform, how dare you tell them, or their families, or our nation, what they died for?”

Hasselbeck’s point was met with sparse applause from The View audience.

But Joy Behar warned Hasselbeck against going after the former Fox News anchor. “You better be careful,” Behar warned. “She’ll come right back at you, she’s like a roller derby.”

“I’m not afraid of her,” Hasselbeck stated before continuing her tirade against Kelly, looking directly into the camera. “But my heart, with my friends in the military, you do not get to authorized who they died for.”

“I come here, I may vote Republican and I’m a conservative, but I’m a thinking woman. I have a heart,” she said.

The View airs on weekdays at 11/10c on ABC.
