Organize an Easter Egg Hunt

No Easter celebration is complete without a classic egg hunt! Parents can fill plastic eggs with small treasures or treats, then hide them throughout the garden or backyard. Watching the children eagerly search for these hidden gems adds a touch of excitement to the day and ensures everyone gets involved in the festive spirit.

Get Creative with Easter Cookie Baking

Cooking together in the kitchen is a delightful way for families to bond, and Easter provides the perfect theme for a baking session. Don your aprons, grab some Easter-themed cookie cutters, and let the culinary creativity flow. Baking not only brings joy but also offers a sneaky opportunity to teach kids about measurements and math in a fun, hands-on way.

Watch some Easter-themed movies

There are many Easter-themed movies out there that the entire family can enjoy. Some of them that have made our list include: Hop, Here Comes Peter Cottontail, It’s the Easter Beagle, Charlie Brown, The Easter Bunny Is Comin’ to Town, Zootopia, among many others.

So, pop some popcorn, gather the family, and let the movie marathon begin. You may want to even invite some friends and neighbors over and make it an even bigger event.

Easter brunch

Gather family and friends and have an Easter brunch. You can make sure that the kids feel like they are a part of the planning and put them in charge of decorations and maybe even let them come up with a signature dish for the meal. Sharing a meal together is one of the simplest ways to make the day feel special.

Volunteer

Have the kids make Easter baskets, cards, decorate Easter eggs, etc. for those who are less fortunate and take them to a local shelter, nursing home, etc. and volunteer for a few hours. You can use this not only as a fun opportunity to spend time together, but you can also give back to the community and bring smiles to those who need it the most.

Parents remember that Easter is more than chocolate and candy. It is a time for families to connect through fun, creativity, and reflection. From our family to yours…Happy Easter!
