Eva Mendes has candidly shared which of Ryan Gosling’s many co-stars stirs up feelings of jealousy in her.
Having worked alongside prominent actresses such as Margot Robbie, Emma Stone, and Emily Blunt, Gosling, 45, boasts an impressive filmography.
However, Mendes, 51, confessed that it’s actually an animated extraterrestrial character from his latest movie, “Project Hail Mary,” that makes her green with envy.
This sci-fi adventure by Amazon MGM Studios, set to hit theaters on March 20, features Gosling as Dr. Grace, who must team up with an alien named Rocky. Their mission is to avert the extinction of their planets, navigating through a myriad of potential pitfalls, according to the official plot description.
In a lighthearted moment on Monday, Mendes left a playful remark on a JustJared Instagram post that was promoting the film.
She joked, ‘His only costar I’ve ever been jealous of…Rocky. They spent wayyy too much time together. They even got each others rings. WTF!!? ♥️♥️♥️♥️.’

Gosling is never shy about expressing his love for Mendes when given the chance.
In 2023 the actor revealed he hadn’t planned on having a family until he met her.
‘I wasn’t thinking about kids before I met her, but after I met Eva, I realized that I just didn’t want to have kids without her,’ he told GQ at the time.
The twosome fell in love in 2011 while filming the thriller The Place Beyond the Pines.
In the magazine interview he discussed parenting with Mendes, and sweetly gushed that before meeting her, ‘I was looking for her, you know?’ adding that ‘it all makes sense now.’
In 2020 Mendes wrote on Instagram, ‘I have always had a clear boundary when it comes to my man and my kids. I’ll talk about them of course, with limits, but I won’t post pictures of our daily life.’
While promoting his movie The Fall Guy in May 2024, Gosling told Extra about Mendes: ‘She is with the girls, and when she works, I stay home with the girls too.’
He added, ‘She’s also like my acting coach. She has really become the best acting coach I have ever had. It’s endless how she helps me.’
