Following the unexpected resurgence of Suits, which shattered Netflix viewership records after debuting on the platform in 2023, NBCUniversal is seizing the moment with plans for a spinoff. Suits: L.A. will expand the original show’s universe, shifting the focus to a former New York prosecutor who relocates to Los Angeles to establish a powerhouse legal firm.

The upcoming series draws inspiration from Suits, the USA Network hit that aired for nine seasons from 2011 to 2019. The original show featured a standout cast, including Patrick J. Adams, Gabriel Macht, Rick Hoffman, Meghan Markle, Gina Torres, and Sarah Rafferty, and revolved around Harvey Specter, one of New York City’s top lawyers, and his formidable team.

NBC has announced the release date for Suits: L.A., along with a teaser trailer. The series, which has been in production since March 2024, will soon debut on the network.

His firm is at a crisis point, and in order to survive he must embrace a role he held in contempt his entire career. Ted is surrounded by a stellar group of characters who test their loyalties to both Ted and each other while they can’t help but mix their personal and professional lives. All of this is going on while events from years ago slowly unravel that led Ted to leave behind everything and everyone he loved.”
