Nollywood actress Bolatito Sowowunmi, best known for her portrayal of ‘Miss Pepeiye’ in the classic series “Papa Ajasco and Company,” has recently addressed the public amidst a swirling controversy involving a fellow actor.

Previously, Gistreel highlighted that in a candid conversation with Lucky Udu, Abiodun Ayoyinka, the former face of Papa Ajasco, disclosed his ongoing financial difficulties. This revelation has sparked widespread conversation and mixed reactions.

Sowowunmi took to Facebook with an extensive note appealing for an end to the criticism aimed at Ayoyinka. She also shared that her departure from the beloved TV series stemmed from reasons she chose not to disclose.

‎Former Miss Pepeiye Breaks Silence

In her post, Sowowunmi made it clear that she harbors no ill will towards Wale Adenuga Productions, the company behind the series, acknowledging the significant platform they have provided for creative talents in the industry.

‎The actress emphasized that she will never criticize Wale Adenuga Productions, stating that they have established a notable platform for creatives.

‎”They have done their part by creating a platform for creatives, It’s noble and appreciated. This is not the time for blame games. Everyone is pushing and doing their bit to survive. Especially in a country like Nigeria, where every thing seems hard”, She stated.

According to the actress, she doesn’t own the popular nickname ‘Miss Pepeye’, noting it has been trademarked by Wale Adenuga Productions.

“Miss Pepeiye is not mine is a copyright brand name of Characters registered ® under Wale Adenuga Productions. Anyone playing that role at the time , will have access to the name during the period of service in all”, She added.
