Descendants fans can rejoice as there is another installment, Descendants: Wicked Wonderland, of the iconic Disney franchise on the way. The new movie will star none other than Brandy, reprising her role as Cinderella.

In addition to Brandy slipping on her glass slippers to reprise her iconic role, Rita Ora will also return to star as the Queen of Hearts. So, just what can fans expect from this new movie? Well, according to a recent press release, check out a synopsis of the action below.

Descendants: Wicked Wonderland explores what “happily ever after” really means for Red (Cantrall) and Chloe (Baker) following their time-traveling adventures in the 2024 hit film Descendants: The Rise of Red. Set primarily in present-day Wonderland with a host of new and familiar characters, this sequel delves into the warning at the end of the previous movie: There are consequences when you alter the fabric of time.

In addition to Brandy and Ora, Paolo Montalban will return to as King Charming and Melanie Paxson will also return, reprising her role as Fairy Godmother. Kylie Cantrall and Malia Baker will be back in their respective roles as Princesses Red and Chloe, the daughters of the Queen of Hearts and Cinderella.

Who else is slated to join the cast of this fifth installment of the musical movie franchise? The full cast includes:

  • Kylie Cantrall as the Queen of Hearts’ daughter
  • Red Malia Baker as Cinderella’s daughter
  • Chloe Liamani Segura as Red’s sister
  • Pink Brendon Tremblay as Maddox Hatter’s son
  • Max Alexandro Byrd as Luisa Madrigal’s son
  • Luis Kiara Romero as Captain Hook’s daughter Hazel Hook
  • Joel Oulette as Robin Hood’s son
  • Robbie Zavien Garret as Dr. Facilier’s son
  • Felix Ryan McEwen and Dayton Paradis as the Smee Twins, Squirmy and Squeaky
  • Leonardo Nam as the Mad Hatter’s son
  • Maddox Melanie Paxson as Fairy Godmother
  • Paolo Montalban as King Charming
  • Brandy as Cinderella Rita
  • Ora as the Queen of Hearts

If you are a Descendants fan, then you already know that this year marks the 10th anniversary of the franchise. Descendants debuted on Disney Channel in July 2015. The first three films ranked as the most-watched cable movie of their year, with Descendants: The Rise of Red debuting on Disney+ as the most-watched original movie among Kids and Girls 6–11, generating over 10 billion social impressions.

Although there is no release date as of yet for the new movie, we have a feeling, with historical numbers like this, fans are going to be waiting on the edge of their seats for Cinderella’s return.
