Sir Rod Stewart looked ready for a good night’s sleep as he headed home after an evening out at Mr Chow’s in Beverly Hills on Monday evening. 

The legendary musician, 80, appeared tired as he yawned in the back of his white Rolls-Royce. 

Always dressed to impress, Monday night’s dinner was no exception as he opted for a sheer white shirt which was adorned with white flowers.

He threw on a metallic silver blazer jacket with black lapels, black tailored trousers and smart loafers. 

He carried the remainder of his dinner in a takeaway bag as he made his way back to his car. 

It comes after it was revealed Rod had become a grandfather for the fourth time last week as his son Liam has welcomed a daughter.

Hockey player Liam, 30, and his wife Nicole already share a son Louie, 21 months, and took to Instagram on Monday to introduce their new arrival.

The couple posed for a series of adorable photographs with Louie and their newborn daughter in hospital as they looked every inch the happy family.

Liam beamed from ear-to-ear as he knelt beside the hospital bed while Nicole cradled their daughter and their son on her lap. 

In a caption, they revealed their daughter’s adorable name and the poignant meaning behind her moniker.

Announcing their new arrival, Nicole wrote: ‘Elsie Skylar Stewart. Our sweet little pea born 03/02/25.’

Her name is a heartwarming tribute to Rod’s mother Elsie Gilbart, who died in 1996 at the age of 91.

Rod’s ex-wife and Liam’s mother Rachel took to the comments section to gush over her newborn grandchild. 

She penned: ‘I can’t wait to meet you. Bursting with love.’

Meanwhile, Rod’s current wife Penny Lancaster wrote: ‘So adorable, can’t wait to meet Louie’s little sister Elsie.’

Alana Hamilton Stewart – Rod’s first wife and the mother of his children Kimberly, Ashley and Sean – added: ‘Congratulations!! She’s beautiful!’

Rod’s model daughter Ruby, who he shares with Kelly Emberg, also commented: ‘Welcome to the Stewart family Little Elsie!’ 

Rod has yet to publicly comment on the arrival of his fourth grandchild. 

Rod is also a grandfather to Delilah, 13 – the child of his daughter Kimblerly and her ex Benicio Del Toro – and Otis, 21 months, who Ruby shares with her partner Jake Kalick.

The Maggie May hitmaker has eight children, with five different women.

He has sons Alastair and Aidan with third wife Penny, and Liam, 28, and Renee, 30, with his second wife, model Rachel Hunter, 53.

Kimberly, 43, and Sean, 42, are from his first marriage to actress Alana Stewart, 77, while daughter Ruby, 35, is from a former relationship with model Kelly Emberg, 63.

Rod’s firstborn child is Sarah Streeter, 59, who was raised by her adoptive parents Gerald and Evelyn Thubron.
