Betting experts think Taylor Swift might release a new album in 2025

Taylor Swift released The Tortured Poets Department in April 2024, and Swifties went wild for the album. Now, music fans are hopeful that Swift will release a 12th studio album in 2025, especially with the conclusion of “The Eras Tour.” According to betting experts on OLBG.com, they believe there’s a 40% chance of Swift releasing another album this year.

The betting experts might be on to something, as an insider told Us Weekly in December 2024 that Swift planned to rest during the 2024 holiday season to hit the ground running in 2025. Not only does this mean new music, but potentially another tour.

“She had such a great experience on ‘Eras.’ She really wants to do it again,” a source told the publication. “She loves being with all her fans; it inspires her.” However, the source noted that “things can change,” and her relationship with Travis Kelce might take precedence this year. “A lot of it hinges on what happens over the next year with Travis,” the source continued. “She’s told her team to give her one year to see how things go in her personal life.”

Seth Schachner, former Sony Music executive and managing director of Strat Americas, told Us Weekly that Swift will likely stick to her typical music style moving forward. “I don’t see her changing the production of her sound radically,” he said. “A Taylor Swift reggae or metal release are not likely scenarios. She’s a very prolific artist. She doesn’t need to reinvent herself.”

Travis Kelce teased his famous girlfriend’s next albums

Travis Kelce talked to Pat McAfee on The Pat McAfee Show in January 2025 about Taylor Swift’s incredible career. McAfee noted that he hears Swift’s music in his house all the time thanks to his wife. He then noted that he thinks Kelce will have a good influence on Swift’s future albums.

“There might be a few,” Travis responded with a laugh. “I don’t know. There might be a few.”

Of course, Kelce couldn’t divulge too much information regarding his girlfriend’s genius. “You know I can’t say any of that,” he said, adding, “I hear music everywhere.”

McAfee asked Kelce if the NFL tight end helps act as a “motivator” for Swift.

“Oh yeah, you already know it,” Kelce verified. “I’ll never chime in, but I’m here to support it. I’m here to see where it can go.”

Another source claims Taylor Swift is planning a 2026 tour

Another source told DailyMail.com that Taylor Swift is already planning to release new music in 2025 so she can head back on tour in 2026.

“She is heavily inspired by all the new experiences she is having on the ‘Eras’ tour and has been quietly writing songs backstage,” the insider alleged, adding that she plans on addressing her alleged feud with Charli XCX in her new work.

“Contrary to what some say, she loves artists like Charli XCX, so those who have heard some of the ideas say she is paying attention to what is hot right now and will use that as inspiration,” the source continued.
