A female participant in the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has ignited a wave of reactions across social media platforms following her claim of rejection by her assigned Place of Primary Assignment (PPA) due to her body size.
This allegation came to light in a widely circulating video, featuring the corps member adorned in her complete NYSC attire. The video bore the caption: “I’m crying all night long, so why don’t you want this to end?”

She elaborated on the incident through text displayed within the video, offering her perspective on the situation.
“Not going to lie, getting rejected by my PPA because of my body stung. It’s hard facing discrimination in a program meant to unite us. But I’m keeping my head high; my capacity to serve and succeed doesn’t depend on a scale.”
The corps member chose not to reveal the organization’s name involved in the matter or provide additional details about the context of the alleged snub.
Her claim has since generated mixed reactions, with many social media users debating whether the incident amounted to discrimination.

“Pity party doesn’t help anyone. I don’t feel sorry for you cause I don’t know what happened and why you were rejected. You can’t just write things like this online without context. Don’t be a fat fool.”
Rita questioned the claim, writing:
“That’s very bad of that PPA or is there something you’re not telling us.”
Arthur Amadi said:
“This is clearly discriminatory on grounds of physical size or features. No one should have to suffer such deprivation based on bodily features. That violates her constitutional rights.
She should get a lawyer and school that organization. The difficulty here is that the useless scheme called NYSC is the instrument behind this humiliation and purported abuse of young people. It is not supposed to be so.”
TAP also reacted:
“Ok no problem we can’t fight for u. Go home and gym. We don’t have Time for anything connected with emotional we deal with reality.”
The NYSC has not publicly commented on the allegation, and the claim remains unverified at the time of reporting.
