Is 'Saturday Night Live' new tonight? Here's when the next new episode of 'SNL' premieres on NBC

Amidst the recent break from Saturday Night Live, I’ve taken the opportunity to dive into some fascinating SNL-related documentaries and podcasts.

If you have a Peacock subscription, two standout documentaries are waiting for you. First, there’s Downey Wrote That, a compelling one-hour feature on the iconic comedy writer Jim Downey. Then there’s the exceptional Ladies & Gentlemen… 50 Years of SNL Music, which both deliver an enriching look at the show’s history. However, I can’t go without mentioning my top podcast pick for 2025, which might extend its charm into 2026: The Lonely Island and Seth Meyers Podcast.

This engaging podcast is hosted by the trio known as The Lonely Island—Andy Samberg, Akiva Schaffer, and Jorma Taccone—alongside Seth Meyers. The four SNL veterans offer a delightful mix of conversations about their camaraderie, dive into the New York Times’ popular Spelling Bee game, and reminisce about The Lonely Island’s memorable run of SNL Digital Shorts.

Fortunately for fans, the string of repeat episodes of SNL is wrapping up. Here’s when you can catch the next fresh episode of Saturday Night Live on NBC.
