Adedamola Adefolahan, famously known as Fireboy DML, a notable Nigerian Afrobeats artist, has opened up about the complexities of his romantic life, describing it as quite chaotic.
During a recent interview on the Reprezent podcast, Fireboy DML disclosed that the inspiration behind his popular song “Ashawo” stemmed from the unpredictable dating environment in Lagos.
“I crafted ‘Ashawo’ to mirror the dating scene here in Lagos, where things are pretty hectic,” he explained.
Reflecting on his personal journey, Fireboy shared, “Although my love life is a bit disordered, I seem to have a good rapport with women. When life gets overwhelming, they help me find my equilibrium.”
In the past, the artist has mentioned that he was even open to experiencing heartbreak as a source of inspiration for creating more authentic music.
Currently, Fireboy DML has not disclosed having a girlfriend or being in a romantic relationship.
