Jujutsu Kaisen fans were recently fed with some exciting news and fresh visuals regarding the latest season of the hit supernatural fantasy anime series.

In Los Angeles on August 31, the show celebrated its fifth anniversary early with an Anniversary Special livestream event that featured an exclusive first look at the upcoming third season, plus some important announcements regarding what’s to come.

Jujutsu Kaisen: Season 3 will pick back up with our charismatic, cursed finger-swallowing protagonist Yuji Itadori (Junya Enoki) in the wake of the Shibuya Incident as he struggles under the weight of the people he killed while under the influence of the “King of Curses,” Ryomen Sukuna (Junichi Suwabe).

This new season, called JUJUTSU KAISEN The Culling Game, will also see the return of the JUJUTSU KAISEN 0 film’s protagonist, Yuta Okkotsu (Megumi Ogata), who was ordered to kill Yuji for the events of Shibuya at the end of Season 2. Other familiar faces returning for Season 3 include Megumi Fushiguro (Yuma Uchida), Choso (Daisuke Namikawa), and Maki Zen’in (Mikako Komatsu), plus several additional new characters like Naoya Zen’in, who look to shake things up in this upcoming arc.

Unfortunately for fans of larger-than-life character Satoru Gojo (Yūichi Nakamura), the Strongest Sorcerer is unlikely to appear much in The Culling Game due to his sealing in the Prison Realm at the end of Season 2.

In addition to featuring some of this arc’s leading players, the teaser trailer for JUJUTSU KAISEN The Culling Game also announced that fans won’t have to wait long to see more of the series. Starting in January 2026, Jujutsu Kaisen: Season 3 will stream exclusively worldwide (excluding Asia) on Crunchyroll, with each episode rolling out on a weekly basis the same day they drop in Japan.

We’ll keep you updated with the latest news on Jujustu Kaisen: Season 3 as we get it, but in the meantime, feel free to build your anticipation for more by watching the thrilling first teaser trailer now at the top of this article!

Stream episodes of Jujutsu Kaisen now on Crunchyroll, Netflix, and Hulu.
