Decorate Easter Eggs Together

Even though egg prices are not quite where we want them to be this year, decorating Easter eggs is one of the most iconic traditions that marks the holiday. If you are choosing to go ahead and get that carton of eggs to dye, let children explore their artistic sides. You can also use this as a teachable moment to explain to children the symbolic meaning of rebirth and new beginnings when it comes to the egg in Easter culture. Want to give your Easter eggs a marble look by using whipped cream or shaving cream. Swirl food coloring into the cream, roll the eggs through it, let sit, then rinse!

Host an Easter Egg Hunt for friends and family

An Easter egg hunt is a super fun way to get everyone in on the action. You can hide plastic eggs filled with candy, tiny toys, or even a few coins all around the house or yard. Want to level things up for the older kids? Toss in some clues or riddles to turn it into a little adventure. Want to put a different twist on the hunt? Host an Easter egg hunt at night, using glow-in-the-dark eggs.

There are different movies to choose from for different ages and religious interests. Some of the Easter-themed movies that are on our list include: Hop, Zootopia, Peter Rabbit, The Ten Commandments, The Prince of Egypt, among others.

Bake Easter Treats Together

Banking is always a tasty and educational way to celebrate any time together as a family. Get in the kitchen with the kids and create desserts and treats for Sunday dinner. You can choose bakeware molds in the shapes of Easter eggs, bunny-shapes, and more.

Last but not least, an Easter holiday without some craft time is no family fun at all!

Create Easter Crafts

Crafting is something that not only allows parents and children to have fun together while expressing their unique creativity and individuality, it also allows parents to help children work on building fine motor skills. Jump in and create some paper bunny masks, design a few Easter cards for family members and friends, among other crafty-holiday masterpieces. You can even create Easter baskets and crafts for those in need and deliver them. This way, you are expanding your holiday crafting sessions into a unique moment of altruism.

Parents remember that Easter is more than chocolate and egg hunts. It is a time for families to connect through fun, creativity, and reflection. Happy Easter!
