Chalamet used to date another actor, and Williams used to date another tennis player
Before he was making headlines for his relationship with Jenner, Chalamet was in the news after being spotted with Mexican actress Eiza Gonzalez. The two were romantically linked back in 2020 and went viral with their steamy PDA moments while in Cabo San Lucas.
Gonzalez made headlines again recently when she “liked” a photo of Chalamet and Jenner together on the red carpet.
When asked about that during a segment with Cosmopolitan’s Cheap Shots, she responded: “I did like it. They look so cute together, they look so in love, and I’m obsessed with them. I love [Timothée]. I think he’s the most talented, sweetest boy, and I’m just so proud to see him thriving and doing good in his career. We’re just good friends.”
Gonzalez is now dating Williams’ ex Grigor Dimitrov.
The Bulgarian tennis star dated a few high-profile women over the years including former Pussycat Dolls singer Nicole Scherzinger and former Russian tennis player Maria Sharapova.
Before Sharapova, Dimitrov was rumoured to have dated Williams when they were both coached by Patrick Mouratoglou. The relationship did not last though as they reportedly called it quits after less than a year together. When things between them ended, Dimitrov reportedly began courting Sharapova.
In a Rolling Stone interview later, Williams did not mention Sharapova’s name but many assumed that’s who she was referring to when she said: “She’s so boring. She’s still not going to be invited to the cool parties. And, hey, if she wants to be with the guy with a black heart, go for it.”
González calls Dimitrov ‘the man of my dreams’
A “guy with a black heart” isn’t a description Gonzalez would use to describe Dimitrov. She actually called him “the man of my dreams.”
It’s not clear when exactly the Fountain of Youth actress and Dimitrov began dating, but in April 2025 she was seen cheering him on at the Madrid Open and gave him a kiss when he went over to the stands. She was then heard saying to him, “Amazing, baby, amazing.”
They made their first appearance as a couple when they walked the red carpet together at the Red Sea Film Foundation’s “Women In Cinema” gala during the Cannes Film Festival.
On May 16, Gonzalez posted a carousel of photos of the two together with the caption: “Happiest bday to the man of my dreams. You’re one of one. You truly are my absolutely favorite human, and I can’t believe I’ve been lucky enough to find you. You’ve restored so much in me I didn’t think was possible. To the kindest most thoughtful and caring man. I admire every inch of the human you are and are becoming. I cannot wait to celebrate many many more. I love you G.”
