Miranda Kerr first captivated audiences at the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show in 2006, marking her debut on the runway. In the following year, she made history as the first Australian model to sign on as a Victoria’s Secret Angel.
After six successful years, Kerr decided to step away from the VS spotlight, choosing to focus her attention on her son, Flynn, whom she shares with her former husband, Orlando Bloom. She also wanted to explore new professional ventures.
In an interview with The Sunday Morning Herald during that transition period, Kerr explained, “This is a natural evolution. I’ve been modeling since I was 13, and I’m now entering a new phase in my life. Becoming a mother made me realize I needed to prioritize my time.”
As she expanded her entrepreneurial efforts with her skincare line, Kora Organics, and her family—welcoming sons Hart, Myles, and Pierre with her second husband, Snapchat co-founder Evan Spiegel—Kerr found her interests diverging from a return to the Victoria’s Secret runway.
Reflecting on her career during a 2024 appearance on the Not Alone podcast, Kerr shared, “Those were some of the best modeling moments of my life, filled with great memories with the VS team and other models. But personally, I didn’t feel the pull to return. As a mother of four boys, my life has taken a completely different path.”
